I'm on vista home premium right now... it runs fine .... I'm finally getting used to it... if I had my way I'd still be running windows 98 second edition..... is there any advantage to upgrading? should i just wait till this current os becomes obsolete and am forced to upgrade? okay talk amongst yourselves... begin!

From what I have read it would appear to have been a sucessful repair. It does what Vista should have done at a lot less resource consumption.

Still has most of the compatability issues with old hardware as Vista but if you are running Vista fine then 7 will be fine.

Faster than Vista and less intrusive.

Windows 7 is worth the upgrade. It has WAY better compatibility than Vista. Now I can sync my phone and ti84 plus to my laptop. I used to always have driver problems on Vista. Plus more frames for games is never bad.

It was well worth it for me to upgrade as my vista was full of bugs and 7 runs smoothly.

I'm upgrading next week, from Vista 64bit to 7 64bit.
I'm gonna keep all my data and programs, just going to remove the OS and install a new OS. Hope everything goes well

The last time I did that my partition table killed itself. It was a pain GetDataBack'ing 200GBs of data

Before doing that, I advise a backup, or at least separate partitions
