2Mbit flash save types ALSO require SRAM patching, in a few cases. GBATA doesn't patch 2Mbit save correctly, use something else.

i patched advance wars, and yet it still doesnt save. goddamit, i didnt know getting gba games to save would be this much of a hassle.
edit: ok, so i did the SRAM test thing from your sig. doing "write" says FINISHED OK, but doing "verify" says "verify Err: Add=0, S=74, D=6f". what could this mean?

you have to delete any old saves on the microSD if your using a SRAM patched version.
As for the SRAM error, it can mean your SRAM was bad in the first place or the battery is being shorted before getting to the SRAM.

i wiped my card clean before i put the patched roms in, so i guess it must be the SRAM. i guess ill just return in, since the SRAM seems to be defective. hopefully my luck will be better with the next one.
