Hacking wood problems

recently i started playing my ds again and wanted to update my wood to 1.27 but after i get the rpg older and menu.dat in the root it still stays on the loading screen and yes i have an original.

What is the point of packaging and reuploading an outdated WoodR4 kernel to an external site when there are download links provided...generally on the FRONTPAGE...

For the topic starter:
1) Backup your NDS and SAV files
2) Format the SD card using the panasonic formatter
3) Put back Wood R4 1.28
4) Optional: try if it boots in your DS (it should when it is a real R4 and there are no other problems like a wrong type SD card or contact problems)
5) Put back your back-upped NDS and SAV files
6) Enjoy your game
