Holy crap, talk about fast reply. Gonna try it out anyways...
Actually, yeah. Just keep trying.

I would be more worried if the process froze when its installing the stuff.
Since it got stuck at the init, it couldn't have possibly started to mess with the files anyway because safeSysUpdater does a check on the MD5 before installing.

I recommend using the most newer SD cart you have when doing this, then you can switch SD cards once its down to 9.2.

I downgraded with a new 4GB sd card which I got gifted the day prior. Then after the downgrade was successful, I continued with my 32GB sd I had for a while.

Eh... Gonna test it out with my other 3DS... I'll keep on trying until it successfully worked.

i got red line on side of screen problem when i try to downgrade how do i fix it ive tried it a bunch and it will not work

Yeah, unfortunately the exploit needed to downgrade in 10.3 is unstable. Perseverance is the key.

This is the screen you should see once it started downgrading, right after it checks the MD5.

hi evzry bady i have probleme with my 3ds i try to downgrad it from 10.2 to 9.2 the sysapdater start downgrad and after installing native_firm and the second cia file ops the 3ds shotdown and wont start the i use the hard mod to get nand.bin thi is my question is there programe to install cias file manualy or with hexa mod thanks

I have just successfully downgraded my old-3DS directly from 9.4.0-21J to 9.2.0-20J.

At first, trying to use "sysupdater" gave me nothing but freezing problems.. Tried it over and over again like 40 times and it froze every time..
Got tired of trying that and downloaded "SafeSysUpdater" instead.. SafeSysUpdater worked for me the very first time (not sure if it was luck or that maybe it is just built to be more stable than sysupdater.. Plus I kind of like that it tries to check old/new compatibility and region compatibility and MD5 hashes before it just brazenly goes about writing stuff to the sysnand like sysupdater does..)

I downloaded the full .cia file pack from a "3ds" site dealing with "iso" stuff..
The MD5 hash of the .zip file that contained the .cia files that I used is: a7c14f50e553d99d93efd3a8dd4f8b9d
I used the japanese cubic-ninja game as an entry point in to the homebrew channel..
I didn't have to touch 10.3 at all.. Went directly from 9.4.0 to 9.2.0.

Guess you just got lucky ;) Versions lower than 10.2 aren't certain bricks, they're just a higher brick chance than 10.2 and 10.3.

Yeah I went from 9.9E to 9.2E via SafeSysUpdater - I couldnt get the proper sysUpdater to work for the life of me, then I try this and it worked second time! Very happy now haha!

So, having figured out I can make this attempt safely (manual verification of 9.2 menu MD5/SHA-1, as well as automated verification via SafeSysUpdater with homebrew methods left even if I have to go to 10.5 via softbrick), I'm attempting to use this, but it's ALWAYS dying just after pressing Y.

I'm trying with menuhax, but I also have ironhax available if necessary. Is there anything I can do to increase my chances of getting the memchunkhax2 part of the process to actually succeed?

Well it has nothing to do with latest sysupdater, you guys should just read first post carrefully (where it say in red be sure to be on 10.3 ..)
I meant that as it is based on sysUpdater, why isn't it using the new safety methods too, that were implemented into sysUpdater ? (I'm not talking about the crash, but the title installation order.)

can safesysupdater check integrity of a higher version FW? cause i got this from that site we shall not speak of and it always fails integrity check on first .cia.I want to update to 10.3 than downgrade to 9.2 first.

n3ds usa version

Keep trying, the good thing here is you have back up of the NAND. Also check the MD5 of the CIA packages using to downgrade.

Check the MD5 of the hashes. Sounds like something is corrupt.

also do the .cia need to be listed in a certain order like by date/size/name or will program pick what needs to be installed automaticly.
