Homebrew [WIP] RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 3D

Hey everyone, I'm back, this is OP. I've made a new account as the other account I created was suspended.

I've always taken it as a compliment when people don't believe what I've created to be real, but I'll alleviate some of your suspicions right now:

"THIS IS FAKE BECAUSE THE SCREENSHOTS ARE THE WRONG SIZE":

Actually, as both teampleb and swaggon have stated, I had the 3D effect enabled whilst capturing the screenshots. The screenshots are genuine. However, it should be stated that RCT23D doesn't actually have any stereoscopic 3D layers.

"THIS IS FAKE BECAUSE THE ORIGINAL ACCOUNT IS SUSPENDED":

This was an unrelated incident in which I referenced a site which is against the rules of the forum. After a moderator removed the post, someone from my household decided to "prank" a few of the tabs I had open on my browser, and I'll leave it at that.

"THIS IS FAKE BECAUSE HE'S ADVERTISING PIRACY":

Again, this was a mistake, and was mostly unrelated to RCT23D. Advertising that site was not my intention, but I see how mentioning it may have led some to believe that that was the case.

"THIS IS FAKE BECAUSE THIS HAS BEEN PROVEN FAKE/THIS SUCKS/REMOVE THIS THREAD":

Don't jump to conclusions, and I'd love to see your proof by the way.

"THIS IS FAKE BECAUSE THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE WITH HOMEBREW":

Actually, it is quite possible; I've recreated the game from scratch using the original graphics from RCT2 and the code from OpenRCT2 as a guide. This is not a port in the traditional style, which is why I called it a port/remake in the original post. Here is a video of it in action:


(And yes, ironically the game currently has a more significant slow down whilst paused compared to when it is unpaused, I'll need to fix that).

I realise that there's a lot of accusations and doubt at the moment, but a BETA release is imminent so just hold on a bit.

Hey man, 2 cents, you can't avoid bans so you will most likely get banned for this, but hey, make a reddit post or something and someone will follow the work avidly until your suspension is over

Very interested. I hope the mods give him a little bit of leeway since he did put up a really interesting vid. Let's just hang back for a bit, see if this leads anywhere good.

Please don't get banned for suspension evasion. Suspensions are temporary, you could have come back after it expired.

The drama in these forums sometimes. Glad to see its not fake (although I thought the reasons for believing it was were pretty stupid). Hope you dont get completley banned for making a second account though, that wasnt smart.

On the other, the OP has disregarded two rules now. @DeDeDe2, it's in your best interest if you read the forum rules so you don't keep accidentally breaking them. Also if possible try to get the second account deleted. Can accounts even be manually deleted here?

Whatever if they will ban or not. Make a post on /r/3dshacks or whatever. And release the .3dsx asap so people can test for bugs and see for themselves.
