It does that. Give it a few minutes.

*flips gaming laptop over the table* I'm thirsty for some gay ass randomization dammit

@thane98 could we use your support editor after randomizing this or would it be better to do that before hand? Was looking to add some ships into Gay Fates while I'm at it

edit: still not responding tho

Question: Would anything happen if we were to use the castle_join.bin.lz from the Gay Fates patch? I know you said that you allowed for modified GameDatas.

Should be fine, though obviously amiibo characters and the like will not be randomized.

not sure either

edit: this is with the gay fates mod already worked in, so I replaced the GameData.bin, and the person/Dispo folders with those from that mod.
Odd. Some of the file names in the text folder were corrupted when I extracted the folder you gave me, but the setup itself was fine. Even with that issue, I was able to run the randomizer using your setup without any errors or hangs whatsoever.

I'm heading to bed here pretty soon, so I don't know how much additional help I can give tonight. I guess it could freeze if you're running this on a really old computer, but the file verification option isn't exactly intensive. Have you verified that you're running an updated version of Java 8? And are you selecting the correct folder for verification? For your setup, there should be no additional folders between 'i tried' and the ROM files, so the folder you select for verification should lead directly to the castle, GameData, Scripts, and m folders.

I haven't tested the support editor with it (I'm not even sure that I could guarantee 100% stability with it at this point...), but the randomizer doesn't touch anything that the support editor does, so you should be good there.

Hm. @KunoichiZ randomized it for me, worked fine (with a few glitches), but crashed when I started chapter 7, conquest.

Also do you have plans to randomize secondary classes as well? I feel like having the default secondaries available makes it less random :/

Reclasses are coming in a later version.

I'll look into the issues with chapter 7 and see what I can do. If you need a workaround, try removing the Bev files that start with B007 from your patch, or replace them with the original versions.

Could you show me the layout for the folder you're selecting for randomization? If possible, could you show me the folders as well? The layout for the Revelation text files looks correct, so it looks like something else is going on.

(This doesnt show the files that aren't folders though. do you need to see those as well?)

Hm, got rid of the B007 file out of the bev folder and it still crashed. it loads the initial cutscene with no issues

Sure! Thanks! Here's the folder: mediafire
Alright, I found the issue! You need to place the text files for the paths under m/[A/B/C]/@E/[chapter name].txt, as that's how they're are organized in the US and European games. The files for chapters 1-6 of all paths just go under m/@E. I think that I'll change the error message to include the full file path from now on so that errors like these are easier to figure out in the future.

I'll go ahead and test it when I get the chance - I've almost got every feature for the next update ready to go, so I'll probably test this tonight with the new version and see if I can reproduce the crash.

What is the proper way to run this with the Gay Fates patch? I guess I'm still confused on that. ^^'

After you've made your folder with the files the randomizer needs but before you've randomized, combine the files with the gay fates ntr folder for the special edition. Then throw everything in feat before randomizing as per the instructions.

Would this hack work for the European Special Edition?
Sort of. There's no direct support for multiple languages right now, so the only text files that will be randomized are those placed under m/@E or m/[A/B/C]/@E. As long as you arrange your text files like that while setting things up (the readme includes instructions on how to do that), you should be good to go.

Hell yeah! It works! Thanks! c:
I wanted to ask: you mentioned that you've got "almost every feature for the next update ready to go"... when are you going to release it? c: Because if you're going to release it today or tomorrow, then I'll just wait before starting a new randomized game. If you'll release it later on, then I'll start randomizing things now.

I'd like to release it some time tomorrow depending on what issues I run into during testing.
