Apologies for waking up an old thread. I followed the steps in an attempt to fix my dead WiiU (Error code 160-1400), hoping that removing the drive might let me play my digital games. So I'm at the point where all I have left connected is the DVD drive logic board, plus the little 2-wire sensor board hanging off it. Unfortunately the error is the same, so presumably the error is either on the DVD drive logic board or somewhere else entirely. I suspect I'm SOL at this point but if anyone has any bright ideas I am all ears
