I don't know what it is, but megaupload comes up with mostly a white screen for me, and when the 45 sec countdown finishes, there's no button to download. What plugin am I missing? I have a flash plugin, I don't get it.

I still don't have DOP-IOS and can't download it cause megaupload doesn't work for me. Also, how important is Waninkokos cIOS cause that's on megaupload too.

EDIT: Does he does he not have 4.2?????. Re-PM'd him again and told him to see your post about the guide. I'm still on 4.0, and own no GC stuff beyond a controller (had it from back in the day when brew was new and HBC wasn't out yet.)

I forgot completely about those damned stubs on 4.2. Last time i modded a wii was when i did my friend's 4.1 unit, and he had cboot2, so I used that for installing cIOS.

Is it possible to install bannerbomb/bootmii using HBC? For some reason my wii isn't loading boot.elf from the SD card.

If you have HBC, skip the bannerbomb. Run the hackmii installer from the HBC. Put it in SD:\Apps\Hackmii\boot.elf then run it like any normal brew.

Okay, I made a backup thing of my wii's memory on my SD card. That was...bootmii...now what?

Follow the rest of the guide. Since you did bootmii already, start at "Restoring the Trucha Bug" under "Modify 4.2"

If you don't want to keep 4.2, be sure you do the last section "4.2 to 4.1" after finishing everything else.

4.2 is just 4.1 plus a bunch of anti-homebrew code added on, and no region free gaming from disc channel. It was a failed homebrew/piracy prevention attempt, hence no real reason to have it.

Just do the Trucha Bug thing again just to be sure. It won't hurt to do it twice.
