Hacking Will nintendo know if I open my DS?

I would like to open my DS Lite in order to clean the screen since that is what Im hoping is wrong with my touchscreen, which wont calibrate.

It is still under warranty but I would have to wait until December to ship it since Im living abroad in Hong Kong while I bought it in America.
 
Nope. There are no stickers that cover up the screws to open it. Just tighten the screws up after you are done

They won't notice if you manage to put it back together again

If you bring it in for replacement in several pieces, I think they'll know.

In most cases they don't really examine the DS in detail when you bring it in for warranty. That is, they won't check what you did with the battery if you bring it in for a dead pixel, or check if it's flashed if you bring it in with a broken hinge, that kind of stuff.
