So, I've been kind of driving myself crazy in this quest to find a decent replacement digitizer for my DS Lite. I just want one that doesn't scratch super easy and actually works. Might sound simple. However, it has been anything but. I've bought from several different sellers from both AliExpress, Amazon and eBay and even went so far as to try and buy a "junk" DS. Every attempt basically ended in failure. They either don't work unless you press on them super hard, and even then only sometimes. Or, they scratch as soon as you touch them with a stylus. I guess there were decent ones going around for a while until recently. Now I can't find them anywhere. Or, my luck is just that bad. The "XY" model that most people sell are good and work but scratch instantly. The "RL 120" models, which is what most other people have, have never worked well for me AND they also scratch just not as easily. From my research, it appears that the "H1 970" models are the "good" ones. But, every time I've attempted to buy them I either get sent an XY model or RL 120 model instead. I tried the most popular listing on Amazon even, and it was a new model I hadn't seen, but functioned almost identical to the RL 120 models. Only works sometimes with hard inputs and scratches. Ideally, I'd like one that feels like the OEM one and doesn't have a matt finish, but I know that's a fools hope. I've looked into getting an actual used OEM model, but the nice ones are always attached to DS Lite's that have been taken care of, as would be obvious, and at that point I'm just buy a whole new DS. I wouldn't mind a few scratches, but the ones sold piecemeal are mostly destroyed. Anyway, sorry about the wall of text, just wanted to give you guys context. I figured if anyone would have a good source for these things, it'd be your guys.

I would aim for one from the "works well but scratches easily" category, along with a Hori screen protector to negate that. My Lite still has the Hori I put on it when it was new, with no scratches despite the punishment it took. Ouendan, EBA, Guitar Hero...

But I'm not sure how hard to find those protectors are nowadays, and there were knockoffs even back then. Probably should look into getting some genuine spares, just in case.
