    Yes, it will work on fat ones, too. Slim models with a model number series of 9xxxx will not work, though.

    If I'm not mistaken, they work from the first model (10000) until the 79xxx models

    Every PS2 works with FMCB, except the 90k series.

    The basic "exploit" works on all consoles that support browser updates from memory card and accept the DVD player signing key (which includes all consumer models from the 100xx to the early 900xx, and with a different build, all the PSXes)

    Note that the main feature of FreeMCBoot is to run homebrew while holding buttons (or none) at boot; the custom menu is not supported on most 1xxxx models, since they have a very different and more basic ROM

    Of course, with a Fat (that's not one of those early models), you can use HDDOSD and/or FreeHDBoot instead!

    Yes, FHDB is very useful. Don't use HDDOSD though.
