Hacking Will A US .Sav File Work With A EU ROM?

Sorry to make another thread, but i need to know.

Im playing Harry Potter and the order of the phoenix, and have done about 20 % of the game so far.

But the US versio which i have doesnt have any cheats. However, the EU version does.

If i get the EU version and use the old US .sav, will it work?

US .sav files should work with EU .sav files. Just make sure the save file is the same name as the ROM.

I tried to go from a EU Pokemon Pearl rom to an US Pokemon Pearl rom, the EU save game had the same name as the US game, but when i tried to load it, it didn't work, asked me to create a new one.

May have been that i did something wrong but..

MIkeyt, dont come into other peoples threads and be nasty.
I wasnt intending to use te cheats, i just wanted them their incase i needed them.

sorry... i said no offence.

and isnt it usually the other way around? US games always have the games first which means they get the codes first too... then again i guess harry potter is a UK thing originaly.

I expected it to have US codes but no EU ones...

But hey, it doesnt matter.

I think the game was released in the UK first though...

Won't say that it won't work at all, i've only tested with one game so far and that was from an EU pokemon pearl to US pokemon pearl, and in that case my EU save file didn't work with the US pokemon pearl.

Iused to live in the north east but now i live in the west midlands. I dont have the horrible accet though.

its awesome up here in the lake district, theres some real nice views. dont live near to any of the lakes though, more near to the coast road. we go up to em in the school holidays sometimes though and its great when we do lol.
