Emulation Hardware Emulator Save file wont work on Twilight Menu or Cart

I have a problem. Ive had an old Final Fantasy Tactics A2 save that I played on emulator forever ago. And I can load it up and it still works. However, I'd like to play it on my console now, and it's just not working. Im not sure if there's some compatibility issue here but I've done all I could think of (tried converting and uncompressing the save and just renaming and it isnt working. I could just be doing these wrong.)

Worth noting: I also bought a cart and have been playing on that, and I managed to back up that save and use it on Twilight Menu no problem, but the old emulator save just wont work on the cart or Twilight Menu. It does work on other PC emulators though.

No$GBA now, though this was an old 2017 save that I only just remembered that it was a save converted from Desmume, and I looked for the old file and found I still have that save too.

Does the DeSmuME save work fine then?
If not, you may need to use the save export feature of DeSmuME, if you have not done so yet.

Oh wow yeah it worked, just did the save export and that opened up on both cart and TWMenu easily, happy to report that now both my save files are in order again.
