Will A DriveKey NSMB ver Work on a D3/D3-2 Wii? Or does it require a WODE or a Softmod?

Edit: The Wii in question is an LU74.

the d3-2 drive can not read dvd-r's at all and a chip won't help that. a wode is your only option for a hard mod. softmod is just fine for usbloading.
