Hacking Will a 3DS R$ gold work on a DSlite?

A friend of mine is picking up a R4 3DS for his DS lite. Since I'm a TTDS user, I wouldn't know if this thing works

It should work on the DS Lite although I would suggest against purchasing that flashcart. If you want a good cheap cart, get an R4i Gold or an Acekard 2i.

Yep, that's correct. Just to confirm, ALL 3DS and DSi carts will work on a DSLite/Phat (as you can't update them).
