Just use wadmanager 1.7 to install the wad file.

Make sure you have enough blocks open on your Wii though before installing.

I think the OP is asking how to play wiiware games in USB loader GX. In which case, you need to install a nand emu, install your wiiware games to that emulated nand, and then use forwarder isos in usb loader GX. I attempted to install the nand emu so I could run wiiware off my usb hdd, and then thought it would be cool to have forwarders in GX so I could do everything from there, but alas my forwarders have never seemed to work, I cant even get wiiware to run properly half the time off the nand emu. I gave up as it's too much hassle for little gain, I rarely play wiiware anyway, would just be nice to not have to delete stuff of my nand all the time.

I’m also curious about this.

I’m running the latest build of USB Loader GX (v1193), I dumped my NAND (via USB Loader GX) and installed a WiiWare [WAD] title (also via USB Loader GX); I can see the title in my list of games.

Emunand is on FAT32 USB Hard Drive.

When I try and load it, it just reboots back to the USB Loader GX main screen.

My Wii is up-to-date with all IOS (per a SysCheck with ModMii).
Code:
sysCheck v2.1.0b18 by Double_A and R2-D2199
...runs on IOS58 (rev 6176).

I’m fairly certain my USB Hard Drive is setup correctly.

Are there any special steps needed to make WiiWare/Virutal Console titles boot via USB Loader GX?

Not all wiiware games work from emunand.
This is not due to usbl gx.
Emulation of vc and wiiware in usblgx is through d2x cios, and it's is not 100%
Emulation through hermes cios and usblgx is not possible.

Btw: you best get the latest beta of d2x with modmii

*snip* sorry, my bad....

You can install wads to your nand dump with usbl gx from the functions option in the usbl gx setting.

Most vc games work though, except for a few ( majora's mask )
If you want 100% compatibilty try running uneek from your hdd and stuff your .wads in there.
Or install them to your real nand.
