It seems like you have to go into a game in order for save states to load. If you load a save state right after loading the iso but before playing the game, the screen will freeze and the Wiiu need to be unplugged

Also I'm noticing I can play a game for maybe an hour before my whole Wiiu shuts down. Maybe a memory issue?

Is there a compatibility list of this? I just want to fill up my SD card... 2GB left and I'm currently trying to play Megaman 8.
I've extracted the zip file, ended up with 4 files:

Megaman 8 (Track 1)
Megaman 8 (Track 2)
Megaman 8 (Track 3)
Megaman 8.cue

Loads to blackscreen with FPS 000.00 in top left.

Using:

did you set in the Settings that you want to use your BIOS file (by selecting "SD" or "USB" in the "Select Bios" option, then selecting "Yes" in "Boot Through Bios" and then saving your settings)?
Also, are you loading the CUE file instead of another BIN file?

Yep! Just hangs in black screen.

EDIT: Could be the iso? Bad dump maybe?

As you can see, Megaman 8.cue just hangs there.
It used to be named Megaman 8 (USA).cue but I hate the (***) in file names, so I deleted that part from all the .bin and .cue files.

Once I tried with the latter name, it loaded properly, while the former name is what was causing it to hang.

Oddly enough, I've tested other games and all of them works without the (USA) part in their filenames.
Just Megaman 8 is giving problems without the (USA) part in it's filename.

If anyone knows why this is happening, it'd be nice to know. If anyone reading this is having problems with this particular game or others, now you know what might be the issue.

maybe a bad CUE file of your game?
Have you checked if you have the correct BIN files and if the CUE file links them?

You're talking with a caveman with this.
Lemme double check if it's the cue.
I'll try another one and I'll come back with results.

The mainCounter branch is an unstable version. There are some new features, such as the new Timer. Some games can run. But some games may be unstable.
So please always use version The main branch, unless you want to test a new version.

For the bin and cue to work, they need the same name. If you want to change the name, you need to change the name of both AND edit the cue file (with a text editor) so its data has the correct name of the bin.

If you change the bin file's name the cue will still look for the old name because in its data is what is pointed to look. It has to match.

Edit: out of curiosity, was Vandal Hearts fixed?

i even made a video showing the game, timing takes like 2 seconds for the cpu to act...

yup. but that fix is only on WiiStation, right? Or this can be also fixed for old WiiSX emulators (including R and RX)?

video was made with the first or second official release of wiisxrx 2022.

there isnt a wistation yet since no official release came with name change or file change.
