Hardware Wiikey

Hi,

I want to buy a Wiikey for my Wii, but I just bought it a week ago, and is fairly new. My dad is in HK right now and says no Wiis can be modded right now (not the US ones at least). However, I know a friend of mine who says he can mod my Wii for 80$. Is my Wii able to mod, or do I need to get a Japanese version of the Wii?

your dad is misinformed, all current wiis can be modded but later models can't be modded with wiikey, only d2ckey

If you can, buy an older Wii, one that has the DMS, D2A, or D2B (no cut legs) drive controllers. These can all be modded with Wiikey. The D2C key is very hard to install so your friend should be good at soldering.

I heard a WiiD package comes out...but I changed my WiiD to Wiikey today cause WiiD cant handle the latest sercurity update there homepage was the last time updated in April2007
