the update looks as professional as thier reputation. It doesnt even look like they made it.

yeah i know, it's not the best thing to look at but it gets the job done lol, but the version no 666 is quite funny XD

Its funny they havn't even picked it up on the mainpage. Maybe they wont out of spite. That'd be funny.

i'm not suprised at all, but we have got what we want so i don't care anymore.

and they will loose even more money becasue the firmware can be updated on clones aswell....good.

I really wonder if this update is worth getting a Wiikey now? At least it means I can finally retire my modded Gamecube and use it to finish my Gamecube ISOs now.

Nonetheless, I shall wait until the warranty runs out on my Wii. The idea of having to grind away to access the 3 legs on the chip scares me more than the soldering.

You could also use the 1.2 settings disc.
It's working again!

i can confirm that this does NOT work, my american games will still not boot directly with region override on! you owe me a new DVDR disc now

i'm guessing you didn't even test this yourself, and if i update my Wii to 3.0 i'm basically screwed because i won't be able to boot my american games anymore (with the freeloader blocked in the 3.0 update)

i've gotta be careful with that.

Bit the bullet and updated. Huzzah, I can play Ikaruga again! The 'Sega' call and giant lady ass were unnecessary but got some chuckles from me.

I've updated and burned to a DVD using IMGBURN. The update went fine and all my wii games still work. I've not tested any GC games yet. I wonder though what happened to the new GCOS which read a DVD R9 so you could fill it with GC games?

Hmm... I'm tempted to pick this up, but honestly I've got a lot of stuff to get done so I may just wait for the official release.

Thank god there is an option out there though... if this had dropped a little earlier I could have brought my Wii to PAX instead of my GameCube (just for Naruto 4) >_>

QUOTE(bomma @ Sep 3 2007, 04:41 PM)Confirmed Working on PAL Wii with Wiikey clone as sold by DealExtreme

Audiofix appears to be working. All the GC games i've burned to a multigame disc which didn't work before, are working now. Haven't tested a single game disc yet. Wiikey config disk 1.2 is working again without booting through GCOS.

Tested GC games: Beyond Good and Evil PAL Fight Night Round 2 NTSC
Tested Wii games: Super Paper Mario NTSC Zelda: TP PAL and Wii sports PAL (original)

Wiiiiiiiiiii

Damn.

Before the update happaned i tested my Naruto GNT4 game to see if it was the right disk.(No name on it.)

It booted up then crashed due to no sound-fix.I updated with 1.9 then tried it again. The question mark logo popped up.I just reburnt GNT4 but same problem.

!!!How is this going to happan to me =(

EDIT:Sigh....I thought i out smarted the wii but nooo.
I used 1.2 to turn Region-Free on thinking it turned it off.It keep staying on Off for some reason.
Any ideas?

I encounterde no problems with Naruto GNT4.
DId you try burning it on a multigame disc with gcos?
It worked for me that way

you see there is your problem, YOU are booting the game with multidisc and I AM booting the other region game DIRECTLY without any swapping, on top of that they are ORIGINALS, do you see why it doesn't work for me? they worked fine BEFORE THE UPDATE WITH DIRECT BOOT, when i update THEY DO NOT WORK WHEN I BOOT THEM DIRECTLY.

QUOTEDamn.
