Hacking Wiikey Update finally released

Give it a little while. People will find the one game they are still trying to get working, and everyone will be back to bitching, "Wiikey can't do anything right. The only reason I spent $250 on a Wii was to play this 2002 Gamecube game, and now it's all fuxxed up."

I encounterde no problems with Naruto GNT4.
DId you try burning it on a multigame disc with gcos?
It worked for me that way

Damn.

Before the update happaned i tested my Naruto GNT4 game to see if it was the right disk.(No name on it.)

It booted up then crashed due to no sound-fix.I updated with 1.9 then tried it again.The question mark logo popped up.I just reburnt GNT4 but same problem.


!!!How is this going to happan to me =(


EDIT:Sigh....I thought i out smarted the wii but nooo.
I used 1.2 to turn Region-Free on thinking it turned it off.It keep staying on Off for some reason.
Any ideas?

Didnt use GCOS,just reburnt really quick thinking the current one was scratched.

Im guessing its because of the region mode being off.It wont stay on =/
I gotta wait for the offical one i guess or more dvds to test GCOS.

WiiKey firmware update for USA/JAP/PAL Wii consoles. Includes ISO images ready to burn. The changelog as follows: Audiofix fixed o_0. Dual layer support (no bitsetting required). Improved media support (all supported chipsets). Full Gamecube regionfree (no-swap/video setup). Various 'smaller' improvements/fixes. Workaround for FW 3.0 gameid limitation (existing wkb 1.2 discs will boot again). 'On the fly' settings for gc games (by holding buttons). Toggle audiofix, diskspeed, force NTSC/PAL

| Boots GC imports directly using a small apploader hook to setup |
| the correct video mode. To enable this feature use the new   |

| place. Unlike a real GC, the NTSC Wii doesnt output PAL50. That |
| means the game may run but theres no picture. PAL60 games will |

| the "use PAL60?" dialog on a game is to hold B while booting.  |
| Forcing to NTSC may work as well. PAL consoles output NTSC just |

What speed did you burn at, maybe try slower or better quality media...

If I'm not playing a commercial game I have to power down each time I want to use a disc, really sucks... I think it's got something to do with the drive stopping or whatever, GCOS swap doesn't work because of this or SNES9X with ROMS on DVD.

A leaked version of the wiikey firmware update is available on several websites. While the leaked firmware is indeed working and has all of the announced features, it has not yet been fully tested and does not come with the configuration and recovery discs. A full version will be available from wiikey.cn very soon.

Do the wiikey update on a 2.2 Wii, then updating the Wii to 3.0 is working ?
Or it need to be in 3.0 first ?
I think it's working, but nobody left a message about updating the Wii after the Wiikey update.

my mistake lol i reformatted my pc but because i was used to my isos assosiated with nero , i thought the iso was a rar lol as it was assosiated with winrar lmao
