Sorry if this is the wrong place to put this – I made a forwarder WAD for WiiFlow since I didn't really like any of the ones out there and I figured I should post it on the internet so other people can potentially use it. You can find it on my GitHub page, which is just "wyndchyme". Let me know if there are any issues.
Will it work on vwii ?

Untested but probably not, since I need to convert it to work on vWii. I think I'll do that later today and release a vWii compatible version as part of release 1.0.2.
WiiFlow works on the Wii U, you can't say that it's not true if you haven't tested it.

He was referring to a forwarder channel, which currently very few work for both wii and vWii. So ppl use convert2vwii to change the nandloader to tiny_vwii for their wii channels to get them to work on vWii. It's currently not very easy to switch to a nandloader that simultaneously supports both Wii and vWii... for now.

Hi All, When a game is set to "auto" in the game settings for IOS. Is there anyway to tell what IOS Wiiflow chooses to launch the game under?

How can I set default/global game IOS? I was looking everywhere in settings, but could only find it as a per-game setting.
It's not possible in Wiiflow (unlike in USBLoaderGX). I was asking the same thing sometime before and the only workaround would be deleting all ather IOSes so the auto option would choose the only one left IOS.

I also know a way to infer it... but this method is not as definite as I would hope. If you go into WiiBackUpManager it will list the IOS the game is supposed to launch under. Knowing that you can find the cIOS that it is choosing as I am pretty sure it looks at the base IOS and then chooses the corresponding cIOS. The confusion can come when you have two cIOS with the same base. If you have a clean ModMii modded Wii, then the cIOS replace the base IOS's 38,56,57,58 and if you install Hermes then 37. The vast majority of games launch on these naturally.

Like you though, I just wanted a smoother easier way of verifying while troubleshooting. Thanks for the input.

Hello, Would someone be kind enough help me? I have modded a wii using ModMii. I have installed WiiFlow Lite (v5.5.4-1 April 9th, 2024). Have placed games in the WBFS folder on the SD Card. Not running a usb drive, just a 64gb sd card.

When I start any of those games on WFL the screen goes blank and I have to reset!

Hello,

given your syscheck report, you are missing the CIOS d2x.

please follow this guide to install them ==>
https://wii.hacks.guide/cios.html

then test your games again

and given your syscheck report, install bootmii, either in boot2 or IOS or both, then configure Priiloader to block updates.

The SD card that I use in my Wii with Wiiflow has an emunand with Wiiware created with modmii and shome wads (therefore, ShowMiiWads?). I expected to be able to use the SD card as is in vWii on my Wii U too, but in it Wiiflow seems to looks for the emunand at sd:/vwiinands instead of sd:/nands. So, is the emunand I use with the Wii not compatible with vWii? If not, how do I go about creating a vWii emunand that I can use with Wiiflow?

in wiiflow_lite.ini change [CHANNELS] use_vwiinands=yes to no and save

or just simply rename nands folder to vwiinands if you use the sd card only for wii u.

I've been setting up WiiFlow covers and I wanted to have a custom "missing cover" for each system instead of the 1 generic wiiflow one. I've tried a bunch of different things to get it to work with no luck. From what little I can find on it, I know its possible, but I can't seem to figure out exactly how. I made a more detailed post about it here if anyone has any ideas on how to get this working correctly would be appreciated :)

How do you add a game id for retro games? Are the ids just random numbers? Ive added crc32 to some games cause for some reason they werent present. But games like actraiser there are 3 usa, jp, and arcade. But all 3 show the same id. Is it possible to add an entry so each has its own namp? Like Actraiser, Actraiser (J), Actraiser Arcade?

It would take you a long time to do what you want. Maybe entire months of work. But it is possible.
You may find it better to disable the database and have it only show in the name of the rom.
But, all the information you need is here. This is the post from the person who created the databases. Take it easy and study everything carefully. May you enjoy it. Greetings https://gbatemp.net/threads/wiiflow-lite-with-emulators-database.527613/

Last edited by AlexM80,
Can anyone help me with my situation. I have the Wii U
After exiting a game from a plugin in Wiiflow (for example Gamecube or N64) it always sends me back to the Wii menu.
I want to have it where any game I exit from it exits back to WiiFlow menu.

I have WiiFlow settings set to boot back to Wiiflow
I have the vWii forwarder and the WiiU forwarder (they both boot fine into WiiFlow)
Is the WiiFlowLoaderChannel V2 - WIIH.wad safe to install on my vWii (I read this will fix it? not sure if the wad is safe for the vWii)

Thank you for all of your hard work everyone
