I always do a clean install, except for cache, cause it takes so long to reload.
Anyway, wiped all ini's again (as well as cache this time) and tried r626 & r629. GC banner slowdown seems to be fixed.
However, music is definitely still not working. I'm using ogg by the way. I'm assuming FIX94 must be using mp3.
I use ogg only in wiiflow, mp3 is buggy.
I just went back and tested r618 (clean install) and the exact same ogg files work fine in this rev.
Something has happened since 618 to start cracking the shits with my ogg's.
Thought I'd compile r619 through r625 to see where this broke (for me at least) and music still worked in r621.
r622 Wiiflow did not work at all (as I suspected from the comment against r623 lol).
r623 onwards the ogg music no longer plays for me.
Hopefully this helps narrow down what might be going on.

just thought i'd throw in my 2cents on this as well. r621 is also the last rev that seems to be working for me without serious issues. im gonna test a few more revs out... but like sdoc96 said, i think r622 is where some things got broken(wii games werent loading for me on r626+) so i guess ill stay on r621 in the meantime.

i said i was doing one, so here it is, a Luigi's mansion, to go with the system menu(if you still have it :D .) on spiffy of course. now starting banners.

I hope this doesn't come across as just whining. I know this general subject has been beaten to death already but I have noticed something that could still be improved.

When I jump through the coverflow alphabetically (B + d-pad up/down) I usually don't let go of the B button until I get to the letter I want (E.G. just hold B and press up, up, up until I get there). I would expect that as soon as I hit d-pad up/down it would STOP the timer for the 3 seconds to enter the source menu but all it presently does is just RESET it so if I take more than 3 seconds between my d-pad up presses or d-pad down presses it jumps to the source menu. Considering that when there's a lot of titles with the same first letter it can take a second or two for it to scroll through them, that only leaves me a second or so to decide that I've arrived at the right letter and release the button or hit up/down again. It's not a big deal but I don't really want to have to think about that fact.

Hey did anyone ever get the ScummVM plugin working? I Either can't see the games or they show up with the lynx games (but can't be played) .
Everything else is working really good. Dios-Mios, movies... all of it on r631. I try not to change themes so I never did look at that again. I need the Carbonik for the Emu covers to look right anyway. I'm too lazy/busy to make up my own theme (even though it might be fun )
I batch converted all my /music folder from .mp3 to .ogg and now the music is back again.

Yeah I remember your screen name and I saw a few posts where you were asking about it. I was just wondering. I've got 1 blank square on my source menu and it looks silly. I was going to put Atari2600 there but wiimedfan (or whatever it's called) doesn't play them I read. Scummvm seemed like a good idea but didn't work. I will finish Day of the Tentacle one day before I die....

I know this is probably not the issue, but your IOS files seem to be pretty outdated to me. I would consider updating them! Worth a shot if you are still having issues. I have all latest IOS from the same ones you seem to have (just newer versions..)

Yeah tried numerous "Fresh" installs....loading Scumm thru HBC and adding games manually then adding .ini to Plugins but no dice......in R500 i think they started showing with wiimedfan but none loaded only black screen

Same here....

and @sdoc96 : back to the music thing, It may be something on your end. I just now got on my macbook and converted about 20 or so mp3s to ogg using iSkysoft iMedia Converter and every new ogg one has played so far... again nothing special, just converted using defaults....

Another odd thing that's happened twice now is that when I push the home button on the wiimote and the exit menu comes up, If I pick exit 2 neek2O it code dumps with the reload in 5 second msg but then loads neek anyway... strange...

ScummVM games still showing up with the Lynx roms.... Hmmmmm.... I wonder why?

Yep, ScummVM games still showing up with the Lynx roms.... Hmmmmm.... I wonder why?

I think but not too certain that wiimedfan plays Scumm games which is why i think they show up in wiimedfan plugin(as its a "All In One" kinda Emu) but again not sure Y they come up like that...

Well, this just gets weirder.
ALL the ogg's are now playing. The ONLY change I did was finish copying all the rest of the wbfs folder over to the new 2TB drive, after I initially tested it with 3 games to make sure it worked ok and the music still wasn't working. Nothing else has changed. Not even the inis or other config files.
Absolutely fkd if I know whats going on, but it's now working, the last 12 times I've rebooted. Completely stumped, but happy it's working.
FWIW, the exact image of the two partitions on the new drive are still on the old drive (direct copy of both) and the music still does not work on the old drive.
Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue...

Yep, same things happen to me as well except that all the games show up under Sega-CD, and nothing shows up under the ScummVM source menu. The Sega-CD games launch but not the ScummVM games, I just get a code dump when attempting to launch them. Everything else works fine, except for my music. I wonder if uploading the code dump would help fix94 or not?

Hmm.. maybe I'll try re-converting my ogg files to get the music working, I also haven't tried mp3 in a long time so I'll check that too.

yea, ive mentioned this before as well. its annoying.. it'd be nice if u could disable "hold b for 3secs for source menu" in the .ini

@luck_gh0st @MassiveRican @anyoneelsewithscummvmproblems

As far as SCUMM goes, i found a little trick that gets it to display properly... IT DOES WORK!!

-Leave it OUT of your plugins folder initially.
-Fire up Wiiflow once.
-Put scumm back in the plugins folder.
-They should appear properly now.

-In other words, I've found if this is the LAST plugin added after the rest have been setup, it will display. If i had it in with all the others plugins, i get the same problem where it'll show up with a different emulator.

:) Gonna test this out right now....also was wondering bout the emu covers sizing. The spine seems to "spill" over a bit on all covers my dvd covers look good and r the same size i believe 1024x680 Any thoughts MasterShoes???

:Edit: :grog: :hrth: :mthr: Excelsior!!! Scumm is now showing AND Launching with no problems :grog: :hrth: :mthr:

   MasterShoes

Gonna test it out but there seems to be success on the yard, so I'm sure I'll be able to get it working soon thanks Mastershoes for the tip, funny cuz I ended up just removing it from the source menu altogether if I would have just put it back it would have worked lol.

Also for whatever reason the music started working for me today ... really I don't know wtf happened as I changed nothing with the music files, I was just doing some cover editing for my emulators and renamed a batch and next time I started it up voila... gold. Still using r615 so I'm a bit hesitant to update with reports of music getting broken around r622. Seems like [member='sdoc96'] and I are sniffing the same glue.. or lack thereof :D

Edit: I've been slacking and haven't setup my GG, GBC, GBA, NGP, and WSC plugins yet, those are the only ones I have left to setup. I think I'll do this today then re-add my ScummVM plugin back to finally test
