Hello.

I hope you are well.

I have a PS5 PKG which has this listed as the requirements:
Required:
- Firmware 1.xx up to 11.40 (up to 11.60 with proper a53_ppr)
- kstuff with FPKG support
- a53_ppr_install by drakmor
- shadowmount+ with fpkg support

I have installed it using debig mode on my 12.70 FW but when I try to run it, it states "can't start the game or app".

Can this be resolved?

Thanks in advance.

No. fPKGs do not currently work on firmwares higher than 11.60.

We're waiting on Sony to patch a new exploit that allows it. Check back in a couple of months.

Thanks for replying. Yes, i watched a few more videos and understand the limitations with fpkg now. If i use ExFAT Image Builder or Shadowbatch to convert the fpkg to exfat will the limitation still exist or would i be able to run it on my 12.70fw?

Thanks, and sorry for the basic question.

So long as the game doesn't require a higher firmware or has a backport included to enable compatibility on a lower firmware, it will probably work. Note that EXFAT bundles do not have 100% compatibility (none of the non-PKG solutions do), so it's a bit of a crap shoot.

OK, so it crashed. it said back port applied, but then it said "crashed before kstuff pause" mentioning eboot.bin.

I guess this one doesn't work and I will wait. Thanks for your help!
