Man, OverjoY just wanted to troll a bit with you because of all your games, no normal person got so much :P There is no AP in WiiFlow, if it is slow make sure you dont reload the IOS or so, for me booting is lightning fast currently, no problems at all when using the regular recommend IOS combination.
You guys are killing me :(

Please don't joke like that again.

FWIW r598 seemed to be working fine before I killed it and went back a few hundred revs.

Edit:

I have been playing with your r598 and it black screens on COD Black Ops every time... works on several other though. So there is something still fouling up even though I removed my settings and themes and went back to defaults.

Went back to r523 and it worked fine.
Don't forget to set COD Black Ops to IOS250...
Has the auto-IOS selection been changed? I know they added the ability to manually use non d2x IOS's but I love the auto-IOS selection. Other games blackscreen too so it's not just games that need a different base.

ROTFLMFAO!! Man I knew there was something funny about that AP thing, soon as I saw a couple of people start jumping in on the fun I kinda figured it they were troll posts but man my heart sunk for BostonBC for a sec lol. Man I could definitely see BostonBC taking the AP move personal, I can't get over it cuz I know he was pissed as shit, no offense in any way bud, u spend a lot of time testing things around here and I thank you for it, it might have been a real f'ed up joke but it was definitely funny ;)
Nop still dont work even if the mp3 are converted to ogg... i don't mind it anyway... :D

Sorry yea I made a major dumb move, and was actually using a compiled r574 and thought I was using r590.. yea BG music is gone for now. Sorry to make you go through the extra work lol.
On another note I'm still using r590 and the music is working with Starnight Theme and Source menu r585+. It did not work upon first launch after update but upon reloading cache and restarting wiiflow, the music started to work ( WTF!?), but it's scratches pretty bad when scrolling through game covers kinda ruining the experience, dunno if that's cuz of the theme or not. Thinking about disabling the music for now, and the music has been working with every launch on r590 so it's not a fluke but it's definitely bugged somewhere :ha:
Life is too short to hold a grudge... it was a pretty good joke

I just had a hard time believing it but when a few other folks joined in my heart sank since I really love WiiFlow and think AP is pretty nuts in an open source project.

I am glad I didn't craft a stonger response :yay:

Fix - r600 is runing the games w/o a problem now. COD Black Ops ran 1st try, Mario Party 9, Super Paper Mario, SSBB. I am in heaven!

I will add my themes back and see if everything is still good but whatever was blowing up my 'abnormally large collection' seems to be working now in r600.

And BTW - nice milestone. r600 :)

Edit - I tried switching to the carbonix theme and it code dumped after selecting it when I clicked back to go back out but after a reboot it came up fine and games seem to run fine from it. I wasn't quick enough to get a pic of it.

So I switched back to default and the screen came up w/o an error but looks like something got corrupted. Hard to see in the pic but look at the M in memories (last word of the game). It's all messed up. If I try and exit it shows more corruption.

The screen images for the other games don't appear and if I try selecting an adjacent game and running it I get a code dump:

Where is the download link for the current Carbonix theme? Maybe I had a bad download or something.

Nevermind, I found the links for the latest Carbonix and Starnight themes and will give them a go... I'm sure I had something older.

Same here. I'd already started checking out other loaders (sacrilege!) in preparation of such a hideous event.
I'd started conjuring a message to "comment" on this "interesting" ideal as well. Got me good - I like that.

Boston - my black screen issues vanished after these updates I did. Not sure which one fixed it.
  • Fix's new forwarder channel.
  • Updated my IOS58 version
  • Refreshed my cIOSx v9beta(fix) version (all 7, from 245 to 251) via cIOSx installer
  • Also re-installed all other ModMii recommended cios's, except DML, from page 4.
  • Fresh compiled and clean install

Yeah, I took a quick look at the new USB Loader GX but was really sad for a bit since I love WiiFlow.

Looks like r600 fixes the issue I was having with blackscreens trying to run games. I am using d2x v8 final 249/250, base 56/57 as fix had recommended.

here's some old "new" themes i'm working on, i'll call them "dark carbonik" . based on the originals, just redone in green, yellow. to come will be red, dark blue, an purple.
i used the newer carbonik that was posted as a base. (abdahlla terros's)( used the ini with a few changes) new font, now instead of bubble popping noise when moving covers, it sounds like turning a page in a book.also gave the plugins a background.
i used the "default" coverflow" plus mine. have fun.

Playing with r600 some more and not sure if it was because of the hangs switching themes but my categories.ini has some weird stuff in it again.

Is this row "b1:/wbfs/pop! [rb2pgt]/rb2pgt.wbfs=" a memory corruption issue?

Just curious, does anybody know where to pick up some custom GC banners for Wiiflow-Devolution?? Thanks.

I saw that in mine a few revisions back and had to delete those entries manually. One of them that actually started with a bracket "[" was interpreted as a section header and so more than half of my games didn't have any categories because they were in the wrong section.

I kinda think it came in after the revision that said just a framework was put in place to be able to show multiple partitions in the same coverflow (which would be great) but I'm guessing that is a new entry trying to show the full path for a game instead of just the GameID to try to be able to achieve that. I still think, though, that across multiple partitions that would not be necessary since all games with the same GameID should use the same cover and category.

Nuts... since going back to the default everything I have lost the ability to see the plugins menu. When I click B on the lists icon I get the message 'Welcome to WiiFlow...' and 3 buttons - 'Extract NAND', 'Disable NAND Emulation' and 'Select Partition'.

if I click disable I get the homebrew apps and then if I click on the lists icon it hangs trying to switch to emu mode.

Doesn't anyone know the proper settings to enable viewing the plugins menu when pressing B on the lists icon?

I have seen general corruption when the Wii was turned off in the middle of it updating the cache. Usually it manifests itself with junk characters outside the normal alphanumeric range.

Fix- looks like the 'Exit to Wii Menu' option on r600 is broken. No matter what I set it to (System Menu for example), when I press the home button on the Wiimote or click the home icon on the main screen and then click exit it brings up the Exit To menu. if I press home 2x on the Wiimote it does still exit back to the System Menu or HBC as always.

Sweet, I finally have a use for the 576i video mode... I could never get the Scrabble game to work, always backscreened. Now it works fine in r600 (and probably earlier versions) by setting the video mode for that game to 'Game'.

My Mom will be happy :)

Just an FYI - I am using the latest Carbonix and Star night themes and they are hanging when switching themes and clicking the back button on r600. No code dumps, just a hang (I waited over 5 minutes each time). After rebooting the themes come up ok.
i have the same problems with mine, even after stripping them down.( using the default coverflow in my dark carbonik). i have the plug in button showing one time, but after switching back an forth with the themes. it went missing.(??), still shows in the ini,but not in the theme.(?)..

thx MassiveRican, happy that you like StarNight. And no sorry, no chance that I update 8-bit ou Carbonik. AbdallahTerro has updated Carbonikalready.
I have all Benjay's PSD theme, so if anyone wants to update one of them, come on irc to talk with me.

I have an old system that displays the plugins but I don't want to wade through every line in the ini's to figure out how to re-enable it :)

So I switched back to default and the screen came up w/o an error but looks like something got corrupted. Hard to see in the pic but look at the M in memories (last word of the game). It's all messed up. If I try and exit it shows more corruption.
Yep, thats because on theme switch it doesnt cleanup the previous theme correctly, I'm not quite sure whats up there.

OMG, why do I do this to myself? Had everything working fine, all covers showing for all plugins etc. And then I decided to update to latest rev, deleted wiiflow.ini and contents of cache folder, and now covers only display for wii, gamecube, and a few gameboy games, and that's it. Checed allpaths and they're correct. Roms are on usb1, and covers are on sd:. I want my covers back!! Help, pleeeease!

I had to move my "plugins" folder from the USB drive back into the SD drive to get my plugin covers to show back up.
