Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

I reported this in r415 or earlier but it is still in the latest nightly and causing me a lot of headaches. If you try downloading cover art it adds the following to the wiiflow.ini

Once these lines are in it dramatically slows down launching of WiiFlow from the main menu or exiting a game back to WiiFlow. It is hardly noticable until you have hundreds of games. But I have a 2TB drive loaded to the gills (1128 games so far) and it takes an extra minute to launch WiiFlow or exit from a game back to the WiiFlow menu.

Since it is auto-recreated every time you download a cover WiiFlow will work for a while but then get so slow people think it is not working and I have to switch myself and them to one of the other USB loaders.

Guys I was wondering. Are u still able to change dols? Like for metroid prime trilogy etc. I mean with the newest 417 revision as I don't see the option

I am using r417a4 and I have this error now with "F1 2009", when trying to start the game I get the error "set usb failed: -6"
I have Nand emulation for savegames activated and I think the error lies there, has anyone else experienced that error or am I doing something wrong?

Changing dols is not needed anymore with the block ios feature. Just load the game like you would any other game and then pick which metroid game you want.

I am using a shared location for the game covers so the other USB loaders I am using can also use them without doubling/tripling the storage needed for the images.

Wanted to start clean because I think some of the cache files may be corrupted. Is there a way to get it to recreate the cache files without re-downloading all the images?

edit: nm... I bit the bullet and re downloaded everything. - but it would be nice to know if there is a way to do this.

So I'm on the latest Dropbox build of Wiiflow and when I go to update my missing box covers, Wiiflow automatically restarts back to the System Menu. Can I just assume this is a "kink" in the latest build?

BTW, I figured out why Shadow's Tale PAL wasn't working on my system: I had set my system signal settings to "System" and was trying to change the individual signal settings for Shadow's Tale which was leading to the game always loading with a black screen. I now have my overall settings set to "Autopatch" and all my games' signal settings set on "Default" and now I have no problems.

I have just updated my cios to d2x v6 using modmii and now wifflow doesnt want to see my wbfs games folder or emulated nand. Wii games work fine on another loader but i want to stick with wiiflow. tried deleting my settings, cache and wiiflow.ini and running again still pops up every time with a select partition and finds nothing. same with nand, made sure the settings are same as last time (when it worked) nothing just refuses to see them. Any help?

I recently updated my wiiflow and its been acting really buggy and stuff. The background music is lagging/chopping/buggy. and the moving interface for each game is really slow. At times sometimes moving between each game cover once in a while wiiflow would freeze.

I would really like to fix this problem... I do like my wiiflow acting nice.. Help anyone ?

In the past that has been the case but it didn't work for me. I'm using the most recent stable version (IMO) r415.

I tried downloading just one of the covers and it recreated that cache file but no others - they show with ? for the cover art even though the images exist.

+1 to that.
I've found it is by far the most stable release in ages.
Running everything as suggested on the Wiiflowiki helps, obviously...
i.e.

• HDD partitioning
  

  (2 partition setup, the first being fat32 of around 25GB, for your normal apps (other than wiiflow), and your emulated nand. The second partition, formatted as NTFS should hold usb2:/apps/wiiflow, usb:/wiiflow, and usb2:/wbfs)

  ^ miigotu suggestion from NAND Emulation page.
• Clean install (everything deleted except cover png's)
• Proper installation of cIOSx V7b1d

can anyone help me ? My wiiflow is a bit buggy.
I can't scroll through games or it freezes. I can play games if I select and play right away. But if I scroll through the games i have while hearing the game music, it just freezes. The background music i have playing is buggy as well.

I can still play games fine, but my wiiflow is just not smooth as it used to. I recently upgraded my wiiflow and changed some cIOS stuff.. and I think the cIOS just made wiiflow buggy and crash often.

I just tried it out... and wow amazing. I can finally play the multiplayer mode

I have a full hd tv for the wii and a componement cable (5 different colors)
through the wii menu, I put em on HDTV
I have installed zelda, but the blocky graphics makes me not funny to play

wat must i do or change in the menu to play on a hd tv?
