The Block IOS reload option should be on by default, and AFAIK also works on any D2X v6 (or higher) cIOS base except 58 (somebody correct me if i am wrong.

If you start Wiiflow with 249, make sure that D2X is also installed on that slot..(except base 58).

If you still have problems, post a syscheck..and maybe i can figure out why the game blackscreens..

Well,I have latest D2X to slot 249 base 57 and 250 base 56.
While every game works fine, the games that require Block IOS reload option (MPT,Sam and Max,Back to the Future) are producing black screen.
The weird thing is that these games run perfectly with Cfg using slot 250 base 56.

P.S After the latest black screen,Wiiflow does not show the games in alphabetical order any more.It seems that the txt.ini is auto-deleted and the appear in random order and with weird names.

Well I have a simular problem, I have wiiflow rev 417
when i klick the question mark it shows ios249 base 56 v7
I have the wad pack from the wiiflow wiki installed. But wiiflow wont play black ops (requires 57), and any Ios reload games.

Any suggestions? (I also deleted all the config files and cache folder)

Thanks in advance

The r417 that you guys are referring to is the alpha 1 version I believe, and yes it was broken on that one. I know somewhere around alpha 3 it was fixed and working again. Maybe try the nightly dropbox version found on the wiki, which will be the latest that miigotu has cooked up. Hopefully soon there will be a new rev that will have some of those issues worked out. Beware, the nightly dropbox ones are highly experimental and likely do contain even more bugs, but then again, they may have the fixes you are looking for. If the latest one isn't working correctly (which I haven't had time to test yet) I can always dig up my 417a3 that seems to be working stable for me right now and can get it to the appropriate people to put up. Oh, and I hear donating a few bucks to the cause helps you get heard a bit more too ;)

Thanks a lot for the Info,

I also updated wiiflow with the latest file from the nightly dropbox.
Its r417 alpha 4

Block IOS reload works now without any problems. All Sam&Max, CSI games and the Back to the Future Game.
Also base 57 games like Black OPs work without any problems.

This is an awesome loader

Is it possible to save a game stat. to the hd instead the wii memory? if so, is that the thing mentioned on the wiki "emulated nand" ?

just got a new job, so I thought i give something to the good cause
donated some money to you miiguto, hope things are a bit better for you nowadays.

Thanks again

Downloaded wiiflow rev 417 alpha 4 yesterday (the nightly dropbox version). Installed the d2x v7b1d WAD Pack as well.

How does the USB Saves Emulation work? It uses the emulated nand on the USB instead of the Wii's internal memory right? I cannot get it to work. Not sure if it's set up correctly. I have my 4 emulated nands setup for wiiware on my FAT32, one of them is labelled untouched, which is a fresh nand install (x:\nands\untouched) and want to use that one. Edited wiiflow.ini like the site says and added the path=sd:/nands/untouched/. Then I opened the settings on wiiflow and changed USB SAVES EMULATOR to ON. Loaded a game up, and it still uses saved from wii internal memory. Gotta be doing something wrong right?

Sounds to me like your playing a PAL game on a NTSC TV. Try going into the game settings and setting video to force NTSC or to SYSTEM.

P.S After the latest black screen,Wiiflow does not show the games in alphabetical order any more.It seems that the txt.ini is auto-deleted and the appear in random order and with weird names.
That happened to me a few times - just removed the DB files and reloaded wiitdb fixed that.

Has not happened on the new 417a4 for me yet.
While I'm talking about alpha4, I have to mention how much better things 'feel' now.
Control sync is ridiculously fast now (before wiiflow has even loaded).
The whole loader just feels more robust - less lockups (like when the music stops, you know it's going to die on the next selection).

The only thing which I need to mention, which seems to have changed since the other r417 I was using, is the uDraw tablet thing. When I start Wiiflow with the controller on the tablet, it will either DSI dump (about 70% of the time) after Wiiflow has started, or if wiiflow actually starts, it is uncontrollable (i.e. the game selection just spins around flat out in all directions and will not stabilize regardless of what you do with the controller, unless you unplug the tablet)
uDraw will start and operate ok if I plug in the tablet after the game has been selected now - so it is sort of usable.

Aside from this everything is coming along incredibly well. I look forward to wiping my drive and testing the NAND stuff with miigotu's new recommendations for the drive setup. Great work blokes!

I have been playing with the new r417 and I am having a problem. After clearing the lists/cache file (and all settings and wiiflow.ini) the wiiflow.ini defaults to save_emulation=yes and apps crash on starting. The biggest problem though is it isn't recreating the lists/cache file and it takes forever to start Wiiflow or run exit back from games to the Wiiflow menu. It looks like the list is created in memory but not written to disk. Heading back to r415 until this is fixed :-(
I updated to r417 today and everything seems to work just fine. I was just wondering what happened to the themes on the WiiFloWiki, especially the Orchid theme. Not compatible with r417 ?
So you don't experience any of the problems that BostonBC has with r417?
I tried updating to the r417a4 version and deleted wiiflow.ini, the settings folder and the cache/list folder. It was incredibly slow on loading and after some digging I saw it defaulted to save_emulation=yes and it created a bunch of files on my usb root (impoty, meta, shared1/2, sys, ticket, title, tmp) again.

I have a lot of games and it is incredibly slow to load with those settings. I like r417a4 since it plays The Smurfs game while older (r415) versions hang.

I am going to go back to r415 and see if it works any better if I don't delete the settings/cache etc.

edit -

Going back to r415 works fine but if I don't delete the wiiflow.ini and other files and just try to update to the new boot.dol of r417a4 it doesn't create those NAND files on the root directory anymore but it takes minutes to startup. Looks like the cache/list folder was deleted and the settings folder only has 2 files - categories.ini and titlesdump.ini.

Anyone who is successfully using r417a4 please let me know how you did it. Thanks.

Control sync is ridiculously fast now (before wiiflow has even loaded).
Following this comment, I tried alpha4 (coming from rev355!) and *wow*, indeed wiimote sync at launch seem to have been adressed.
HOWEVER, sync is being done fast only the first time launching WiiFlow.
If you exit WiiFlow, go back to System Menu, and launch WiiFlow again, the random/slow wiimote-sync-at-launch bug is back.
Can you reproduce sdoc96?
It'd be wonderful if this one could be fixed once and for all.

A somewhat related question: who's the original developer for the awesome "Black & White" theme?
Using this "old" theme with alpha4 has some small issues (text has moved a little, a couple buttons overlap), I reckon fixing it for alpha4 wouldn't be too hard, is anyone working on upgrading the themes for the newer WF builds?

No I can't reproduce your problem. Sync is quick every time for me, whether it's full reboot, or reset straight to Wiiflow from a game.
EDIT: I have deleted everything and am using a virgin Wiiflow install, except covers which I kept.

While I'm here, as far as NAND emulation goes, does it make any difference if I use an old 3.xE backup for my NAND, or should I be using a freshly BootMii-dumped 4.2E to install stuff via ShowMiiWads?
Reason I ask is I get successful execution of games (using the new Miigotu HDD partitioning method from the Wiiflowiki) such as World of Goo (which never worked before), but it works the first time only.
The next time I try to switch to NAND in Wiiflow, I get DSI dumps ad nauseum and have to copy on a fresh NAND backup and wipe all settings in Wiiflow (have not narrowed this down yet).

I don't get it, now wiimote-sync-at-launch has become slow again (~10seconds), ALWAYS.
Even if I start from scratch with the .dol only.. what the hell...

Really a strange bug, none of the other loaders/apps/games/whatever show that behavior. :wtf:

You're using the cIOSx 7b1d from the Wiki, right? Although, it may not even have anything to do with it.
That's my only other suggestion, sorry mate.

from what i've heard (thank you IRC); the re-sync delay only happens if you have an SD card inserted....if launched from HDD, there is no delay.

i am a SD user myself and am not annoyed by the resync delay enough to switch launch to HDD. that said, if i don't push buttons or move the wiimote during wiiflow launch i can more-often-than-not get wiiflow to launch without the re-sync delay.
