I think this is known, but i will remind the devs about it.

I've been a long time [224]Wiiflow v2.1 (r228 w/ carbonik theme) user. i've tried a few of the earlier RC2.2 releases, but found them a bit undesirable and problematic. ...but now that d2x6 is here, i am really wanting to move to a d2x compatible loader and i'd love to stay with wiiflow. i got a few questions:

1.) Sorting: game title sorting in r228 is based on my game folder names....in r355, it appears to be done by the 'original disc title'. is there a way to change that to sort by game folder name or to a custom title.txt (like can be downloaded from wiitdb.com)?
2.) Scrolling: in r228, L/R scrolls slow, B+L/R scrolls fast...in r355, L/R scrolls slow, +/- scrolls fast. is there a way to change r355 to be more like r228 for scrolling (makes way more sense IMHO)?
3.) Freezing: on the WiiFlow loading screen (the black screen with the white 'Wiiflow®' and the moving dots), ~30% of the time it freezes just before the coverflow shows up, requiring a hard reboot....is this a known issue, or are there any tips on minimizing this occurrence (i don't think this has ever happened to me using r228)? ....i doesn't seem to matter if i launch wiiflow from within HBC or an AHBPROT-enabled forwarder....

any help would be appreciated. my apologies if these questions have been covered to death.... with the rock solid stability i've seen with [224]-r228, i've not really needed to visit the Wiiflow forum for a long time.... other than the problem above, the d2x function of [249]-r355 is working great!

my complete system is in my sig if needed....

for you firsdt question read this
thanks for your reply...but i'm looking more for 'title sorting' (or title renaming) than 'category sorting'...i probably should have made that a bit more clear....example: in the cover flow for r355, games like deBlob/deBlob2 aren't showing up together (because deBlob's original game title is 'Blob07' while deBlob2's is 'de Blob 2') and Fatal Frame 4 is at the end of the list among the Z's (original game title = Zero4).....annoying. so, i understand what it's using to alphabetize them, i just want it to alphabetize them based on a different parameter (like my game folder name would be nice...like Wiiflow r228, USBLoaderGX, and CFG do).

somehow in 2.1, i have a titlesdump.ini...but it's horribly incomplete. i am unsure how this file was created or how to create a more complete one, but i think if i could figure that out, i could use that to maybe create 'custom_titles.ini' ?? anyone have any luck with something like this??

in all, i'm thinking that should be simpler than it is seeming to be; there's gotta be something i'm overlooking....

also: MarioKart-Dragon (mod)....in r228 displays the appropriate Box Cover, but in r355 displays the box cover for the original Mario Kart.....Mario Kart Black behaves as it should.....i am stumped as to why?

1.) i got the titles figured out....never realized that the screen where you download covers (Called Download Covers & Titles, doh!) downloads the WiiTDB title.txt and alphabetizes according to that...99% better!....though i would still prefer alphabetizing by my game folder name as the other Loaders do....

@Benjay: the B+Plus method didn't do anything that i noticed....(it's undefined in the control scheme for 2.2...link)

2.) having B+L/R = page scrolling (instead of +/-) would still be nice....it's actually defined this way in the 2.2 controls (see link above)

3.) the stability is still a bit less than desirable....unresponsive lockups seem to happen randomly when loading Wiiflow, when loading a game from Wiiflow, or when exiting wiiflow or a game back to SM...

Damn , maybe i missed something but there was a way to change the sorting mode in 2.2
You had choice between alphabetical order , most played games , title ID and some other modes.
Perhaps it was removed in r355 , or the button combination was changed....

PS : the control scheme on the wiiflowiki is missing a lot of things ^^

@Benjay, you missed something and we miss you...lol.
And you are both right..B and + should work but doesn't work with rev 355...this will be fixed in a later rev.

@brausm08: About point 1, you can indeed use custom titles, this is also on the wiiflowiki. But you will have to fill it yourself..
About point 2, the change was because the devs wanted to have other functions under these buttons, but maybe we can discuss it again.
About point 3, This has the attention again of the devs and is being worked on.

@Etheboss: thanks for the response....while i figured all the answers would be what you stated, i thought there might be a chance i was missing something glaringly obvious

...i'm hoping it didn't come across like i was ragging on the devs efforts; that was not my intention.... i prefer the aesthetics of wiiflow over the others; if it wasn't for this damn d2x development, i would be blissfully still using r228....

@devs: ...once life gets back on track for you guys (and yes, life is more important than wiiflow development)....i'll happily volunteer my efforts for beta testing if needed....

Cheers!

You better hurry then, development is going fast again as we speak...r-win is back and OverjoY joined the team...come to IRC and ask if they are interested...

I've send a message to r-win. In this moment i can't connect to IRC. I've inserted code in wiiflow for cios base info recognition for all versions, and display value in menu_config_game when i select the ios number for the game to start. This include the new system inserted in the d2x v6. If he want i will send the sources without any problem.

I have an issue with forwarder iso's (like FCEU or SNES9X, Shop Channel, etc.). They used to work in Wiiflow r304.

When I upgraded to D2X I had to switch to CFG as Wiiflow didn't support it at the time . CFG will still launch the forwarders with cios 222, not the d2x cios's. Wiiflow r355 (249) wil not load the forwarders regardless of what cios I use (I did delete the gamedata.ini files as well). I've tried the d2x v6 base 56,57, I've tried the Herme's cios's and an older Waninkoko one (v17 Ithink). After I click on the cover to boot it I get the Wiiflow logo with the loading dots infintely -- Hard reset required. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

hello , I 'm having a issue with 2 wfbs partitions showing my games only one is showing . usbloader gx works and Cfg loader , so i figure i must have missed it in global setting or something , thanks again for the great loaders .. i have tried it with R304 and R355

i think wiiflow reads only one partition at a time, you need to switch to the second partition. in settings. or just move all your wbfs files over to computer if possible. an reformat your drive to a fat32 @32k.. an add a wbfs folder. an wiiflow will read all the games. or partition the drive to fat32/ntfs.. formatted wbfs drives are dead.. (my opinion).

thanks for the info , shortz1994 , so i thought fat 32 couldn't see any files over 4gb without having to split them and i didn't want the hassle of it ,, but also don't want to use a dead format either

thanks

yea any game over 4gb, it will be split, but will not effect gameplay when playing, just use cfg or gx to rip game to hdd. i think wiiflow is still broken in the ripping department. though could be wrong.could have been fixed with 355r.. haven't played my wii in a couple of weeks. still waiting for wiiflow update. hopeful it's soon. 355r is working, but bugs are still here.. expected when testing though.

i use my hdd "1tb" for my uneek, games, an all my homebrew. an no problems with none of the loaders, so my opinion is fat32, is the best one to use for wii. an not wbfs or ntfs.

the game TRON is not working with d2x v6 and wiiflow r.355 with rev20 is working
Works fine here with d2x v6, so, what is not working? Is it not starting, or does it freeze, or etc..?
Maybe you need to disable your WDM folder and maybe you forgot to delete your gamexxx.ini files?

Just wanted to say that I'm sorry that I forgot to mention WDM files. Of course, you don't need them anymore, so you can either delete or rename that folder. This was, of course, known by us, I just forgot to mention it. Sorry!

Yep, and the code has been committed to SVN. Thank you. I think it's rev 361, but I'm not sure though

Another note: we've enabled the Google Code source tab again, and I've synced Google Code with our private SVN. Latest sources will be available there.
