Well, I don't know what changed, but when I tried to bring things up again to give you more information, WiiFlow loaded my games instead of the system menu channels, so I guess at this point in time, it is fixed. If I run into other problems, I'll update.

OK, I have run into a new issue. Maybe I am too much of a newbie at this, although, I haven't really had many problems with anything I have done in the past. Now that WiiFlow has started working properly for me (I am able to see my games, my homebrew, and my system menu channels), I am trying to redirect it to look for my covers on the USB drive rather than storing them on the SD card in an effort to conserve space on the card.

I created the following directory structure on my USB Drive. In the root directory I created a folder called wiiflow_advanced (named identical to the one on the SD Card root directory). Inside that folder I created duplicate versions of the folders "boxcovers" and "covers" (again identical to the ones on the SD card).

I also edited the "wiiflow_advanced.ini file as follows. I edited "dir_box_covers=sd:/wiiflow_advanced/boxcovers" to read "dir_box_covers=usb:/wiiflow_advanced/boxcovers". I also edited "dir_flat_covers=sd:/wiiflow_advanced/covers" to read "dir_flat_covers=usb:/wiiflow_advanced/covers".

I can see no obvious reason to me why this would not work, but after making these two little changes when I try to launch WiiFlow, I wind up with a screen dump.

I launch my homebrew channel, then select WiiFlow and click load. The loading screen comes up for about 7 or 8 seconds, then I get the screen dump. It stays up for about 5 seconds, and then homebrew reloads.

Any ideas what I am missing? I can't find anything else in the .ini file pertaining to the covers except for "cover_buffer=18" and "sound_volume_coverflow=255". As far as I can tell these would have no bearing whatsoever on where it would look for the covers. I don't know if I am just plain missing something, or is it not even possible to put them on the USB Drive?

I have a 4.3u WII. when I hit the home button on the remote in homebrew, it shows 1.1.0 in the upper right hand corner and IOS58 v24.32immediately below that. I cannot give you the version information on my WiiFlow unless you know a trick I don't, because when I select WiiFlow, the screen that comes up with the delete, load and back buttons tells me "no description available".

To the best of my knowledge, everything is up to date, and I am attaching a copy of the syscheck file to see if that offers any additional clues.

Yes it is wiiflow_advanced
I thought everything should be ok too
As for the wiiflow that I downloaded, all I got in the download was the boot.dol and nothing else. When I choose it in homebrew, I get a white image that says "wiiflow_advanced" at the top, "no description available" where there would normally be one, and then the three buttons at the bottom.

EDIT: OK, so in looking at the links at the very beginning of this thread, I followed the WiiFloWiki link and it took me to the page where I downloaded WiiFlow from, although I found it through a search engine when I downloaded it. What I downloaded was the "Official Nightly Build", a couple of days ago. As my syscheck shows, I already have IOS58 and 236. The d2x cIOS links both lead to pages stating that the files had been blocked for violation, but I have updated those through "Pimp MY WII", so I am not sure that there would be any help there anyway, but I can't find out if they are newer versions or not for sure.

mikenaly,

I just checked and it looks like the nightly build from the wiki page is the latest wiiflow advanced r426. However in the future get your releases here http://code.google.c...iflow-advanced/. I think that the wiki page is now shared between wiiflow advanced and wiiflow mod. So there is no telling what you will get there. As for your problem moving covers you need usb1:/ not usb:/. The 1 means that it is the first partition on the drive. In your case you have only one partition so it should be usb1. Change this and you should no longer crash. Finally the reason you have no description or image in HBC is because you are missing icon.png and meta.xml. They should be stored in same folder as boot.dol.

Gambia, The
2 Features are missing.

The Download of Covers and Titles doesn't work anymore. Means if I download the newest database from TDB then the whole Game List is crashed. Means the titles and covers are all wrong.
I tried this feature in one of the first 2.0 versions and it was working without issue.

The second one is the selection of the used IOS.
In the past the user was able to select a costum IOS in the settings menu for the game. This was helpful especially for different kind of CIOS (hermes, wanin, d2x etc.)
Now it's not possible anymore to customize the used IOS.

Either this is dead or Miigotu has tons of new features in store for us for next release (if it happens).
It's the latter Hunter X. However Miigotu's attending 3 colleges right now so I don't think it's going to be released soon.

Good luck [member='mugotu'] and don't forget to give a friendly hello and update every once in a while :P
