Got a nintendo wii today, Already have a 750GB external hdd, looking for a step by step guide to run wii games from that hdd, if there is one.

Also, do i need to have an SD card to get the homebrew on the console or can i use a usb drive as i have plenty of them in the house, but no SD cards.

Thanks in advance :)

I haven't tried it yet myself, but a bluetooth-based hack was just released. This was necessitated by the lack of an SD card slot on the Wii Mini, but it also works on original Wii models.

Requirements:
- Linux computer
- Bluetooth adapter

I haven't kept up to say for sure, but it might also be possible to run this from a virtual machine.

Yes, this is the one I was talking about. Also, I recommend you not follow any video guides. They're pretty unreliable.
