geckoos/backup launcher is not able to launch original or backed up games?

i think ppl who upgraded after initial 'it's all good' reports are kicking themselves now

Installing anything including the Homebrew channel via Twilight just returns error -2011.

Unless that's a region error code and it's saying that this is an error because the Homebrew channel is not PAL? (This is a UK-PAL system.)

That's a thought actually. What region is the homebrew channel SUPPOSED to be? I'm afraid I didn't test any PAL WiiWare games to install to play (I had none to hand and as part of my test, Homebrew channel got deleted)

Fye_DX, go install something new via WAD Manager... like Megaman 9... get back to me if you can even do that. I have a feelign not all of us are attempting the same 'tests'.

atm, every application related to title installation/deletion/modifiction (and this include channels and all systelm titles or IOS) will probably failed because they patched the signature bug in all IOS, including the one used by the homebrew channel and teh one uses by Zelda Twilight

obviosuly, when an application is launched through a channel, it use the IOS set for this channel

installed applications will work exluding those related to title installtion (like AnyTiteDeleter or Region changer or Downgraders)
now, you see why Downgrader was not so awesome ?

EDIT: I don't see any solution except for Custom IOS, but even that, don't see how to install them with the bug fixed everywhere... DVD update might be the only way, hopefully there is DVX for non-modchip user

I can try to install another WAD if you guys want, just tell me and I'll test it. BTW, Megaman 9 was "Region-Free" and originally NTSC-U (Using FreeTheWads).
And NO, I'm not going to try and delete HBC just to test if I can reinstall it. I already took my risks today... =P

solution: a HBC update that will use a custom IOS, do not worry

This is reassuring. Is there anywhere I can read some material to read about some tech specs of the Wii, such as exactly what on Earth these IOS systems are?

Tried updating again, AND attempting to access the Wii Shop? The Wii Shop update was actually the killer for my end.

I installed a zelda masters quest wad with no problems, and when i ran the twilight hack i didn't try to install the hbc because i already had it installed.
it seems like only people from the UK are having problems..... am i wrong?

I had no problems downgrading my system after the new updated...
Now I'm back on 3.2 and everything is working....

Also if you try to install a new WAD it ERRORS immediately, so if youre about to upgrade, make sure youve instaled your wads you really want otherwise for now its GOODBYE MR WADMAN
Same with any region changer, hopefully this gets adjusted and fast

Looks like the common element to me. Wouldn't be bloody surprising that we get shafted first.

Hey, no accusations here. Just a lot of experience with reverse engineering scenes, I'm just trying to get us all on the same page because we have conflicting reports, and never mind the other reports here, I myself am experiencing total failure, so I don't want this given a false positive. My brother is already devestated.

Although it looks like the problem is that the UK update is different to the rest of the world, or PAL systems are behaving oddly.

PAL users, avoid this one until the gurus give it a look over.

WadMan's working fine right here... Tested it with Megaman 9 and Strong Bad Episode 2.
I have the most recent cIOS btw. (The one needed by Waninkoko's Backup Loader.)
