Hardware Wii u pro controller won't work help please

I recently purchased a pro controller and when I first opened it I felt how the buttons felt and the blue lights went on. Then I let it charge and now when I try to sync or even press a button the blue lights won't turn on. Is the controller dead? The charging light is orange. Does it need to be fully charged?

No, doesn't need to be charged much, especially if you have it plugged into the WiiU usb ports. For some reason it doesn't seem to want to charge if I plug it into anything else.

next time take back to store for exchange call nintendo force them to send a new one are sue them

There is a small hole on the back, to the right of the sync button and a visible screw. Use a pin or something to press it in for like 10sec - it will reset the controller. Worked for me.

Ok, So I also have this issue, however pressing the reset button for 10+ seconds does NOT fix it for me.
Any other suggestions out there?

The battery is fully charged, I put it in my 3DS to check.
No lights at all, cannot connect to the Wii U.

Hey, I know this was way back in the day. But do you remember what you ended up doing to fix this? Or if you ever did?
