It's been discussed in this thread a couple times. There will most likely never be a homebrew channel on the wiiu. It requires more than an IOSU kernel exploit. There will be a homebrew launcher of sorts, but it will be accessed via the web browser, rather than a custom channel. And then the next level is a wiiu emunand...

If you self-host the exploit on a computer at home, your wiiu just needs access to your local network and does not need internet access.

No, it was a screenshot of one of the functions in IOSU, that tells Nintendo exactly what to patch. It's actually the opposite of progress.

Actually, in other words, it was a function in gx2.rpl that just describes how to call the DMA command, which in turn is PROTECTED (or SHOULD BE) by IOSU, but it's not.
