I am sure by now some of you know that you can change the tool chain in the cafe.bat file to point at certain linux programs. (ronetix) Certain multi compilers and what not. http://prntscr.com/4ejmvf
I'll show you the cafe.bat but as to editing you'll have to do it yourself. Also cygwin can be edited and the entire windows portion of the .bat can be edited so it points to things in your linux distro.http://prntscr.com/4ejncv
Also if you change the bridge file to fit a crossover cable and a usb to ethernet cable you may be able to get the bridge functions working.

Or use your tool kit to open mion but you'll still need to edit the bridge setup to work with standard console.

The SDK is not normal at all, many of the things are not from the Nintendo SDK they are homemade tools, and the source of the tools is from inside Nintendo; attempted to cover their tracks and lots of evidence of other things as well. The 1.51gb one. CafeX, mion (the bridge tool) etc.

CafeX and Mion are official tools/hardware for communication between CAT-DEV and PC. They are mentioned in the documentation. This has been discussed before ;)

Edit: Ninja'd.

As has been mentioned before, it's completely normal. Anything that looks home-made is supposed to be that way.

Sorry who decided that? Anything homemade is supposed to look that way? What the hell, have you guys looked through all the files and read them? I realize the SDK is from a legitimate developer doing legitimate development work so of course his work looks intentionally 'homemade' it's not a clean SDK, and the work he is doing is not all clean, search for files referencing xml files, look through the data in the folders in D:\cafe_sdk\data\mlc\ closely and try and work out what he is doing.

How is any of it completely normal, just the fact it's not clean from warioworld is one thing, second thing it's from Nintendo, third the coder has left plenty of work to look at. Work involving levels of the system a normal developer is not supposed to be able to go anywhere near.. and further than that he appears (one file is very commented as he tested different things as he went, it looks incomplete?) he was working on something involving an RVL disc that makes absolutely no sense to pass off as completely normal. Look at everything the guy was working on.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Wii U hacking is DOA

You clearly haven't seen this thread recently:

XD. I see in your signature that you're not a fan of backup loaders and the likes. Well this is the very reason why I'm mentioning this project, backup loaders WILL NOT RUN ON TRINUX EVER! Its an entirely different platform for running unsigned code, thats based off ubuntu linux (in fact it IS Ubuntu linux ported over to the Wii U in an altered vWii state). Will emulators be possible on it, yes of course, it essentially turns your console into a linux pc, however wii U backups (and likely wii backups as well) would never run properly on this platform.

I myself am a fan of being able to backup my own games, but you're entitled to your own opinion, but this project might just spark your interest :). Ninja_Carver and his genius was able to successfully port ubuntu 12.04 lts over to the Wii U, with me as a tester. I will be helping with utilizing the additional cores of the Espresso processor :) as I'm already familiar with assembly language and microprocessors :)

Any progress anyone makes or doesn't make generally can't really be reported until it's in finished form and ready to go. It's a generally bad idea to do so. Calm your butt.

Found this over on reddit, via Wii U subreddit:
http://www.reddit.com/r/wiiu/comments/2e0o4j/i_was_given_a_demo_kiosk_wii_u_is_there_any_way/

Owner even uploaded some pics of it recently:
https://flickr.com/photos/56514645@N07/sets/72157646266697967

I've read that some kiosk units (although this looks to be an actual wii u) were running under Ubuntu on a pc. I notice in the pics this kiosk wii u has some extra ports. The owner over there wants to see if he can convert it into a real system, but I thought of posting this here to see if anyone knows if a kiosk unit might help in anyway on hacking the system? Probably not, but worth a shot. Thought if it garners anyone's interest here maybe they can talk the owner into selling it or using it for other purposes?

It is not useful. Only for collectors.
