The tools that are being worked on for IOSU release have me curious.

I think they're:

1. EmuNAND/RedNAND.
2. Tools to dump 1:1 copys of games.

I don't care about anything else for release...

That would be cool , but I doubt this has anything to do with IOS... (except for dumping the Gamepad's Firmware? Maybe installing a CFW on it too... I'm not sure... :/)

IIRC Nikki once said that dumping / installing CFW on the Gamepad already is possible but I can imagine RE'ing, understanding the structure/architecture etc. can be a lot easier with IOSU access!

I don't think so, it will be possible only with the coldboothax, that will be released at the dead of the wii u life probably.

It will....kinda, but honestly if you look at the 3ds scene we had emunand and basically full cfw the only downside was that we had to run the settings exploit or browser exploit every time. Not a single person ever complained about it because we had cfw. When arm9loaderhax came out everyone switched to it because it is obviously the superior exploit. However if no coldboothax would have came out I'm not sure anyone would have cared.

Especially with menuhax lol semi autoboot.

Tl'dr as long a wii u has cfw no one will be demanding coldboot exploits like they demand or want iosu. Cfw is all any scene wants/needs and rightfully so it's the ultimate goal everything else is gravy
