Suppose notBut since it would allow running unsigned code I guess it would be possible..
No, it wouldn't...

Me hoping for a native Wii U update blocker. That should be the first priority after the exploit.

Or something like emuNAND would be great![]()

First, we probably need SD card access. A beta version just for testing the feasibility of the concept might store the emuNAND on a remote computer, but that would be impractical for the general user.emuNAND'll probably happen sometime soon. No promises but really likely.
why not USB?First, we probably need SD card access. A beta version just for testing the feasibility of the concept might store the emuNAND on a remote computer, but that would be impractical for the general user.

why not USB?

Because USB is encrypted on a Wii U. It probably will be possible to bypass that, but for software that can access the SD, it isn't encrypted.
I predict that the first emuNAND will be saved on an SD card using an exploit in Smash.

>need to access SD which requires IOSU exploit for anybody who doesn't have Smash
>encrypted
>can dump keys with IOSU exploit
nice

Do you mean that the SD card is encrypted when Smash uses it? I thought it wasn't...
Do you already know how large a WiiU NAND is?emuNAND'll probably happen sometime soon. No promises but really likely.

2 banks with 512MB each - one for Wii U and one for vWiiDo you already know how large a WiiU NAND is?
Basic and Deluxe models have 8-32 gb each. :cofused:2 banks with 512MB each - one for Wii U and one for vWii

What it is used on Wii U mode for? I though Wii U mode had a internal eMMC only. That's eMMC, not NAND
Any reason why the OS couldn't be stored in the same eMMC?Wii U-mode uses one NAND bank for core OS and eMMC for user apps/data. vWii gets the other NAND bank for its use.

Marionumber1 and NWPlayer123 are correct. Cafe OS is stored in a 512mb bank and all vWii stuff (including wii save info, downloaded channels software etc) is stored in its own 512mb bank. For Cafe OS content (eshop downloads, save data etc) that's all stored in a seperate storage bank from Cafe OS itself( either 8gb or 32gb depending on your console). I suppose Nintendo's logic for this was to make things confusing for the hacker community. Gain access to one bank, but not the other and having to take a slightly different approach for each bank etc.
