Hardware Wii u gamepad IPS upgrade?

Has anyone considered upgrading the TN screen on the Wii u gamepad for an IPS display? Would it be possible? Could some kind of screen ribbon adapter be made to use some kind of third party IPS display on it?

I was just wondering the exact same thing! Hahah!

I have no doubt it's possible considering what's done with GBA, GBC and GB screen mods! But besides you, me and maybe two others....I guess there won't be a lot of demand for it.

Too bad really, as I am just starting to play a few games now: Kirby and Pikmin on the WiiU. Especially Kirby looks amazing on my TV and a little dull on the gamepad...which is where you 'must' look for this game!

But maybe it's out there or being worked on, who knows

I would like to know because my Wii U Gamepad's screen become worse, its a vignette screen now (darkens on the corners)

The Japanese xenoblade console bundle came with an IPS gamepad screen I'm pretty sure so you could buy one of those gamepads and swap the screens
