Hardware wii u gamepad battery doeznt last long

today, a full charge lasts about 2hours. is that normal?

It's not long at all. I don't even think mine makes it that long. I'd recommend getting the extended battery from Nintendo's website.

I just keep the charger close so I can plug it in when necessary. But yeah 2 hours is about right, dual shock 4s last about the same. That's why I prefer they just let me use my own batteries now because in Xbox One with my rechargeable batteries I get about 50 hours.

Try turning the brightness to the lowest setting and the powersave on.

Also $40 for a high capacity battery (Claims at least 8 hours?) O_O

Under what circumstances do they make these claims? Highest brightness setting with battery saver off? Then Sure make that claim but not if is true.

This is how I've been doing it. I will ONLY pay for a replacement once the battery is about dead.
