do you other guys who have this problem also have launch wiis, it is probably irrelevant, but I was just curious.
My Wii is a launch Wii.

On another note:

The Wii User Agreement, which includes the Wii Privacy Policy, has been updated. Because the updated agreement applies to you and your use of the Wii Network Service, you should view the updated version by clicking on the Wii icon located on the lower-left portion of the Wii Menu, selecting Wii Settings, accessing the Internet settings, and selecting User Agreements

?Nintendo?

So Nintendo DID update their user agreement again, but this time, they're declaring war. I wonder if they are deleting these files manually, or if they have an engine running that is picking random Wiis to delete trucha signed files off of

? Is this just the beginning, or is this as bad as it will get? There's so much to learn!

i have a launch day Wii.
connected to WiFi.
Firmware 3.2U. Starfall. cIOScorp v1.
no Preloader.

all of my channel wads are fine.

i know i don't have the problem that is the topic of this thread but
i felt like this info may help (even though a ton of people are probably in the same boat as me).

good call pri..

not a launch wii
connected to wifi
wiiconnect is OFF
3.2U, starfall, CIOSCORPv1
no preloader

no troubles yet. WADs are not Region free.

not launch
connected to wifi
wiiconnect off (in menu, and preloader)
3.2E, preloader, cisocorps v1 + rev8
all fine this morning when i put it on for the kids to watch cartoons.

Quite how you expect the wii to connect to nintendo, with wii connect off, and then get purged, im not sure.

oh and I have NEVER updated about 3.2E

Happened to me today.. I have 3.2U with preloader installed connect24 turned off.
All wad channels gone and saved of those games gone.
Gone:
Onslaught
Tetris
world of goo
Wad manager
ftpii
wiiradio
tv game show

Left on:
backup launcher
Wii dumper
Super N emu

Only thing I did today was change 2 settings in preloader. Diag disk check and move disk channel, I enabled them both earlier today. I changed them back now. this had to be this afternoon since they were all they earlier.
Did you have an SD card inserted when this occurred? If so, check it for the saves. The weird thing for me was that the save files were copied onto the SD card -- maybe Nintendo felt guilty?

Yes card was in Wii when it happened. I posted many places and everyone thought I had caused it but I guess we are seeing its a big N move. The saves were not on the SD since I never moved them there. With World of Goo I cant take off or put one on for that game. They were COMPLETELY removed because when I ran Wad manager and hit (-) to remove those games to see if it saw any parts and it just gave a ERROR. But they do reinstall and your start from scratch.
Mine was a Native 3.2 bought 2 years ago.
Never had 3.4 installed.
TP hack,
preloader installed
I did install the Mad world Ios, ios for .3 gamma
* my buddies got hit yesterday. He had a downgraded 3.4 with the same ios as me. and his settings were same.
Should we post releases are being targeted to get a idea what they are going after?

No idea if mine is a launch console or not since I bought it used.
3.2U (downgraded from 3.4U) with Starfall & cIOSCORP
Connected to WiFi, WiiConnect24 enabled

All my channels are in order for now, including about 8 Wiiware/VC titles.

Could it be a Preloader issue??
I do still have the HACKED save on the wii. Wonder if thats causing it.

There are so many variables, really. For the record I'm not using preloader or the Nintendo Channel and I don't have the twilight save on my system anymore. I don't recall whether any of my custom channels are flagged region-free or not, if not they're likely all NTSC-U.

However, if it is in fact Nintendo causing this, and if they're operating anything like Microsoft did with their Live bans, there's a possibility that none of that matters because they could be doing this in waves. It would make sense for Nintendo to "test" it on a smaller base of confirmed pirates for example, before applying it across the board. I was fine on the first two days of the latest Live ban and they got to me on day 3, which makes this thread a little disconcerting for me. I might just be jinxing myself by saying this hasn't happened to me yet.

Opt-in/out of sending information to Nintendo

You can set whether you would like to send non-personal information to Nintendo.

1. From the Nintendo Channel main menu, select the settings icon (wrench), then "Data-Sharing Settings."

2. Select from the following options:
I Agree

Allow your Wii console to share data with Nintendo. Nintendo uses this information to recommend games and to develop new games and services. No personally identifiable information will be sent to Nintendo. For a detailed list of what information is sent to Nintendo, click here.

As a thank you for sharing this information, the DS Download Service will be made available.

I Disagree
Do not allow your Wii console to share data with Nintendo. The DS Download service will not be available.

3. Select "OK" to confirm your selection and return to the settings menu.

Well lets see here, I have updated my ntsc wii to 4.0 using waninkokos upgrader which added the ability for me to use sdhc cards (yay!) ...but I could no longer install wads via Twilight H. (boo!)...but as long as you still have HBC it is still possible to revert back to good 'ol 3.2 (yes!) which is what I did, cuz I gotta have my wads! (lol) ...but I want to be able to have my cake and eat it too. In other words utilize A sdhc card and load my wads via Twilight H. So is this possible yet? Any info would be much appreciated.
