Wii Points

    Just wondering if I can buy Wii points abroad as they will probably be cheaper everywhere else than in the UK ?

    anyone confirm this ? I think its like £15 for 2000 points here !

    No, they are not region free. Someone tried to use a Japan Wiipoint card on a US Wii Console, but it didn't accept it.

    In theory all European/PAL points should work on all PAL systems, but with the X360 it was country only.

    The points (point codes) are issued by regional Nintendos (for licencing and financial reasons). You can only use them in your region. The reason here is the same as why Japan gets a bigger launch lineup of Virtual Console games. Licencing.

    I don't see a licensing issue with The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past...
