Hacking Wii Menu 4.2 Released

i think most people wouldnt want modchips for a couple reasons...
1. Costs money
2. To much of a hassle to install
but i have a quetion... Y not just make a Brand new channel one that 4.2 cant reconize or block(if possible). It could work JUST like the Normal HBC but it would have to steath all Homebrew and may limit WFC for backup/Isos uunfortately but then we could probly Release a patch for the isos or the BU-Loaders can be updated to tell the wii that it is an official game or that it is being booted like a normal game.

I also need help... My GC Back-Ups wont play after i installed the Nintendo Channel. What do i do?

People say nintendo didn't cram any feature into this update... actually they did and it's a trap.
those who purchased opera before will download a free nes game in october.. but for that you need to update your console... I think this timeline of events are especially designed by Nintendo

ps: i know you can only update shop but the majority doesn't know this.

Funny thing is... we dont need that Nes Game... Thats what Wads are For so their "Free Game" Plan Kinda Backfired on them...

Besides its an NES! Game not free wiiware or N64. Alot of people like the clasics but still Id like SSB W/o Hacking

No doubt Modchips will still work but as I and other people have posted there are problems with the Wiikey v1 and v2. Which in my case with v2, NTSC games are no longer playable and some v1's are rendered useless.

Damn Nintendo, that october ''NES gift'' for having bought Opera, was a friggin trap, that explain the delay, and they saw that only hardcore gamers could envetually buy Opera, install HBC, and droping their jabs for a NES game

The narrator annoyed me. Also disliked the emphasis on "FREE FREE FREE" (even though I do play Snes roms on it, I don't pirate Wii games.)

in b4 Nintendo paid G4 to run the segment

I mean, it's not like Nintendo lives under a rock; they could have been doing their homework the entire time and were looking for the right time to unveil it.

paying for airtime on AOTS = informed casuals
informed casuals = "hey i can get free FREE FREE STUFF"
"hey i can get free FREE FREE STUFF" = nintendo in all their heroism FINALLY launches their massive-weapons SysMenu

and hey. G4 is all about corporate; I'm sure the hosts aren't total tools off-camera (in b4 gbatemp manually imagines morgan webb crying about sysmenu 4.2) but when the camera's rolling they're being paid to throw effort into whatever's being aired on a teleprompter.
also notice the footage from AOTS shows hackmii/bootmii namely - they could have easily shown OTHER tools like USBLoaderGX, or something we actually USE

Seriously, when you're flaunting FREE FREE FREE with a piece of technology, you're pretty much painting a big red X on its homebrew scene.

Keep in mind that when you update by using the NUSD/Freethebugs method you'll lose Preloader.
