Hacking Wii Menu 4.2 Released

Is anyone unable to connect to NWC, seems that Store, Games ( CoD:WaW, Brawl), Nintendo Channel etc won't let me connect unless I update. (which I won't) ?

Hello Guys, just foung my wii updated by my friend to 4.2
And after that one showed Error 003 Unauthorised device detected.
So be carefull
It had HBC, USB Loader with menu channel, MPLAYER CE channel.
Hope to discuss that prob soon in corresponding thread

GENTLEMEN.
I have been thinking and have come up with a temporary safe option.
It goes like this:
Somebody modifies CIOS249 to make it something else, for example IOS251.
Somebody also creates a homebrew loader channel and names it something other than HAXX.
Everybody who is afraid to update installs them.
= Trucha IOS with backup abilities and a way to launch homebrew.

yeah didnt they update their licent agreement to include the ability to auto-update.

Updating the license and adding the ability to auto-update are two different things.

I meant the same thing as Sir-Fritz.
So, there is a difference, of course. But what if there's already a yet unused possibility for Nintendo? You never know to which external WiFi-Message the Wii could respond, do you? Since they changed their licence agreement before the last update came out.

4.2 works online with brawl. Played earlier today and had no problem
Yeah I kinda knew 4.2 would work, I meant 4.1 and below... 15 minutes ago I was playing like I normally would. But now I can't connect to anything at all,
this is the error I get:
Error Code: 61070

Our experience shows that error messages within this range are typically caused by an unstable network connection. The issue could be with your connection environment, your friend's connection environment, or a temporary issue with the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

Our servers may be trying to handle an unusually high amount of traffic (especially if you are trying to play online with a recently-released or popular game, or if there is a new Wii system update).

And my network is fine >

Mwhaahaah!!! Oh, what a dickhead...

I've been meaning to update my Wii to 4.1 and or some reason didn't want to use Waninkoko's updater, even though I used it for 4.0.

Today, I just got home from work. Haven't been reading GBATEMP for a couple of months. I updated from the system menu.

Hopefully I'm not screwed for too long...

It would be nice if somebody could respond to say whether forwarder channels and so on have been deleted by 4.2.

E.g., if you had rev14 of IOS249 installed and a forwarder for Cfg Loader, you could try simply adding the line "ios=250" to your config.txt file and see whether it works. According to the info here, it should still work right now without updating anything.
