Hardware Wii Key Clone?

Hey guys,

Opened my Wii up for the first time to try to figure out what chip I have (it was a present, don't ask).
Had a look inside to find this


From what I can tell, it looks like a wiikey but doesn't have the logo on it. Does this mean its some kind of clone?
Is it possible to remove the chip? If so how easy would it be? I have used a soldering pen before...
Any guides or help appreciated.

There is really no way to tell if it's a clone or if it's real. They all look pretty much alike.
Why would you want to remove it? And no it won't be easy. Those quicksolder chips are a bitch to remove.
