I have installed Homebrew Channel on vWii using Super Smash Bros. Brawl with a 2GB SD card, and then I decided to use a WD Passport 2TB drive, so I downloaded some apps into the apps folder.

However, the vWii couldn't read the apps found in the device even though I have already formatted the drive to FAT32. Also attempted to connect to the front and back USB ports but didn't read the apps either. I used the Y-cable to connect the drive.

When I went to the menu using (-) and select "USB Drive", there was a DS1 error and a black background error screen that will freeze until I switched of the power connecting to the console.

What am I doing wrong? Are there any essential files required in the HDD to read the apps?

I am not sure if this would help, but I attached the installer log file that I got after I installed HBC through the Smash Stack.
