Hacking wii + homebrew channel

im wondering if the homebrew channel can brick my wii? and can the hombrew channel be installed via a dvd+r or dvd+rw disk?

it won't brick you and I think you can't (there was a version for modchips but dunno if its still there)

You can burn a HackMii installer homebrew disc. Installation of the HBC via wad is not possible anymore.
