That device is way old news. Was very useful for those who wanted to "Listen" to the in/out code from the dvd drive (And could even inject code). But were way beyond basic DVD Drive modification now so it's really a moot point.
IOS is now the Wii hacking future (and hopefully full system menu replacement too *hint* *hint*).
The "Flat-Mii" that "Saposed" to be coming soon would be a better approach since it's less intrusive.
Drive moding is going bye bye though so....
