Hacking Wii disc channel error

Every disc inserted comes up as insert disc and fails to boot or even load the banner. Its a release day wii with a wiikey installed which hasn't been a problem booting backups and real till now. I can't boot any backup with the disc channel but they work using neogamma which leans towards a dead wii key do you think?

Just sounds like your wii needs to be updated. When you load games through the disc channel it uses the games IOS to launch the game. WHen you use neogamma it uses a cIOS.

Download ModMii, use the wizard, tell it your wii is a virgin, and follow all the step and you should be fine.

If it isn't loading the banner, then it's not an outdated or missing IOS, since that is done from the System Menu IOS. Did you recently softmod or update your Wii?

Nope last time it was used it was working through the disc channel now nothing. I even restored an old nand back up and its the same even wii sports doesn't show up yet it plays through neogamma

Its a strange one but I can live with that just want to know why. I still suspect the wiikey tbh.

I suspect the WiiKey as well, but I want to be sure if the WiiKey itself is bad. Is WiiSports the retail disc?
