Hi I just got a used Wii that already had the homebrew channel on it, but anytime I try to load a game up from disc or usb the Wii just crashes. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks

You should probably just format the system memory to get rid of the homebrew channel.

Remove your cios installs with anytitle deleter and perform an update.

If you have a vulnerable boot 2, you can use ohneswanzenegger to build a clean Nand backup.
restore is with Bootmii and uninstall the homebrew channel and boot2 afterwards with the homebrewchannel installer from bootmii.

FYI there's no real need to uninstall anything really, if whoever softmodded your Wii the proper way, then there had not been messed with the official system ios at all.
You would have just ´added´ the cios upon the offical system.

I get the feeling you do not have a clear understanding of how your sofmod occured.
It's not as hard or complex as it looks. If you softmodded your Wii via Modmii only just a few things were altered, which is the best way to softmod your Wii.
