Is there an easy way to change game folder format for existing games from GameID_Title to Title [GameID]?
Tools - Game titles - Rename All. If you can't select this option, go to options - settings - titles - use wiitdb titles database.

Can any body help me please.

Can I use a 1TB drive formatted as WBFS with the Wii. Iv'e heard conflicting stories.

In the post above me, it says that your limited to 500 games.

Is that the only limit? Somebody else told me that it was limited to 500GB for a WBFS paritition.

The thought process was that i've always used WBFS, I didn't have any reason to change.

Is there any limitations to FAT32? With regards to file sizes and such.

fat32 cannot store files larger than 4GBs, but this doesn't apply to Wii Games

this screenshot explains it best

if you are buying a new drive - and if you wish store covers, homebrew, or perhaps media files on it, and if you'd like to toss your sd card, theres a reason to change now.

How does putting a game bigger than 4GB on the drive work?
the app splits it - its really set it and forget it...once its on fat32, you just play your games, the loaders do all the heavy lifting for you.

smart people made software so we can remain stupid - dont fight it man, just roll with it.

So.... I got everything working, but I have one question.

I used this tool to format as FAT32, and i've tried a game on it and it works. But when I plug it into my Wii/PC its telling me it's NTFS. Have I done anything wrong?

Maybe the tool created a NTFS parition... But that's not very important if you only want to play games from it.

Does enable full scrubbing mode only apply when ripping dvd's or does it also apply when you transfer games from one hdd to another or install from isos?

I got on to report the same problem... I used the tool try to format a 1TB drive fat32 - it said it worked but actually formatted it NTFS. The tool formats my smaller drives - 400gig and so - to fat32 no problem. I ended up using a third party format tool for the 1TB drive. I have 2tb drives but I keep those as NTFS with a small fat32 boot partition. I get nervous with a drive that big and not using NTFS lol and they are mostly for archiving anyways and seldom connected to a Wii (just for cover updates).

Perhaps the tool has a bug and will only format fat32 up to a certain size???

If the tool uses Windows routines to format drives that could be the cause. Over a certain MB limit Windows forces NTFS.

Hello!
smile.gif

I have a small problem using Wii Backup Manager v0.3.5 Beta 1 with this release:
frown.gif

Hasbro.Family.Game.Night.3.PAL.Wii-GLoBAL
The scrubbed+RARed ISO is about 1.44GB (4.37GB unRARed)...
rolleyes.gif

But when I convert the ISO to a .wbfs file, the size is about 3.64GB!!!
ohmy.gif

Is this a bug in the scrubbing/converting routine???
huh.gif

I mean... I know that compression reduces the size of the ISO...
But that much?!
blink.gif
Is doesn't seem very normal...
wtf.gif

Has anyone tried manipulating this game with another tools and gave the same results?

There were another game with the same bug (sorry I don't remember the name, it should be in this topic though).
When on the WBFS drive (or wbfs format) it took more place than the actual game data size.

You could try to convert it using another program (wit, wbfs_file, or another backup manager).
I don't remember if we found how to reduce it to it's correct size.

Sorry, my message wasn't very helpful.
