Milestone Shooting Collection 2 has everything a shooter wants. It contains: Radirgy, Radirgy Noa, Chaos Field, Karous and Ilvero, almost all of the remarkable titles the studio has created.

Each of them feature a unique world full of bullets and captivating systems. Ilbero takes place in a net game sort of world and your shooting craft takes care of attack, defense and the bash-on action. Radirgy takes place in a hip electronic world and Radirgy Noa has a double player mode, so ask a friend to join your game.

Chaos Field pits you against bosses the moment you enter the game, but Karous gives you a smoother learning curve, so beginners can start here before heading off to the more challenging games.

Sounds promising

looks like i wont be needing to dust off the dreamcast anymore..

WRONG!
I still 'dust off' my DC to play Milestone games and much , much more.
With the convenience of having my DC hooked up to my PC monitor ( which is especially good for shumps as my monitor can be rotated 90" and I can play those games the way they were meanted to ) and it's so much better to play with an arcade controller that is bolted to my desktop.......
So I can really say I particularly enjoy those games on the Wii, unless they are exclusive that I can't find anywhere....
But between the DC and PC with arcade emulators and such, I can virtually enjoy most of the greatest shumps anyway !

I have Radirgy, Chaos Field, and the best, Karous, already on the Dreamcast, as well as the Wii via Ultimate Shooting Collection; however, as little hope as I have, I hope UFO picks this up to publish, especially since they canceled Illvelo. I love the Milestone shooters, even though they're not on par with Cave shooters or Raiden.

This is just Milestone Shooting Collection 1 with Radirgy Noa and Illevlo included.

+1 to using a dreamcast with VGA to a tated pc monitor, its the best way to play. Now I've got a hankering for some Gunbird 2.

Also, to the person who said they no longer need to dust off their dreamcast, you should be ashamed of yourself. Also this:

IIRC the first milestone collection didn't work properly through gecko/ocarina and would only recognise GC pad..... has anyone tried this new one? will it work normally with wiimote/cc/etc?????

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

    but that's a long shot

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
