are USB Loaders able to play dual layered games? (never really tried those before, so I was wondering)

I'm using uLoader 2.4 I think, and usually use CIOS 223 hermes (since it seems to be the most compatible)

Is this only the second Dual Layered game on the Wii next to Brawl now? I can't think of another one.

Metroid Prime Trilogy?

Also, if this game actually comes to the US I'd buy it. I love Dynasty Warriors and, even if it's a spinoff, would love to see it on the Wii.

Plus US owners probably wouldn't get the "Pay to Play" crap. I don't think Monster Hunter Tri is for its US release.

I'm definitively buying the US one for sure, but I think I'll still download the JP one for a spin.

Game works fine on a 3.1U Wii on USB Loader GX, but none of the Musou(story) modes work. After the initial cutscene, the game gives you a black screen version of Error 002. Any help would be appreciated, and thanks in advance.

Use configurable usb loader with Hermes IOS 222/223, it worked with Super Smash Bros Brawl. so it should work here also, anyways you could try booting from .dol.

The game's pretty sweet. The engine feels like it's been made from the ground up for the Wii... it feels.. "right" and kind of better than Orochi's engine.

I love how you see the next objective on the minimap, with an arrow telling you the way to go if you're ever lost.

man I don't use usb loaders, just good old dvd but looks like the story modes (maybe the movies) reside on the second layer...the release comes without a .dvd file so imgburn doesn't know when to switch layers...anybody knows what's the layerbreak for this? maybe it's the same of SSB that I don't remeber btw...

Hmm... uh oh. I actually burned it using Imgburn.

It does work though, but has the same problem with the game giving an error message like Tetsuo9999.

If I did make a mistake... ugh... help. Looks like I'm going to need to install Hermes.

So, do you guys think there is any chance of this game getting the same deal that people did for Smash Bros so that it could be played in single layer DVDs?

Or is this game destined to be a USB only game?

Latest Switch 2 leak says it will have a LCD, not OLED, run most games 40fps max, and only be 1.5 tflops handheld, 3 tflops docked. That's less than the steamdeck at 1.71 handheld, 3.1 docked.

Switch 2 LCD is about like TN type compare to old Nintendo Switch LCD before. Also games running on 40 FPS look not good for us and people. 60 FPS are best for normal everyday gaming. That's weird. I think should not buy Switch 2 because it like Switch 1.5 something like that. Little improve but not major improve. I think going to skip it.

Yea that's just rumored but not sounding that impressive for a next gen upgrade. Of course Nintendo is very good at optimization of their games to play well, but for a $400+ 2025 console I expected a little better. Even a $299 2020 Xbox Series S has 4 tflops.

I thought it was supposed to be on par with an xbox 1 in power, why is it running most things at 40fps lol
  • Anrei @ Anrei:
in terms of power I thought it was a 2.0 compared to the switch man 40fps sounds whack is there poor optimisation or something?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Just rumors/ leaks. We will find out in a few weeks. But yea prob way underpowered to save battery, for longer playtimes, like Switch 1 is.

Teraflops are not necessarily indicative of real world performance, especially when compared across different architectures. The Switch 2 will also be smaller/lighter than the Steam Deck so it's performance has to fit inside a much smaller thermal and power envelope. Using a 120hz VRR panel means 40 fps locks can be an option in handheld mode, which will be a noticeable upgrade over the current 30 fps standard on Switch 1. Games could also go uncapped and leverage VRR to keep things smooth.

Call me a filthy casual but I really don't notice the difference between the last few generations of consoles, and pushing specs just for the sake of bragging rights is really pointless.
